Giving gifts was what he was worst at, so he planned to wait until Kushina came home and ask for her opinion.
He could not afford to make a joke of himself when the time came.
"Hmm... I seem to remember seeing something called a Longevity Lock in one of Lord Torikaze's books?"
"I vaguely remember it's something children wear, and it needs to be made of pure gold."
Minato Namikaze remembered roughly what it looked like, but he could not remember the patterns on it.
"I wonder if second brother Amado would like it if we made a Longevity Lock?"
He had the idea in mind, but he still needed to ask Kushina about the specifics and hear what she thought. A husband and wife had to be of one mind.
"Hmm, I'll ask her when I get home from work. There hasn't been much going on in the village lately, so I can put more thought into preparing it."
That evening, after Minato Namikaze got off work and returned home, he immediately told Kushina about it.
Kushina, holding Naruto, thought it was an excellent idea. "Sure. Making it from pure gold won't be cheap, but it's no burden at all for our family."
"And it expresses our sincerity well. Konoha has master engravers too. We can have them carve some auspicious patterns onto the Longevity Lock."
