He had no choice but to go all out as well.
"Guy, have you learned the Eighth Gate?"
Guy shook his head. "Not yet, but at this rate, I should be able to learn it in less than a year!"
Kakashi was stunned. It was said that the power gained from opening the Eighth Gate surpassed the Kage-level.
It was almost infinitely close to the Six Paths Level.
Yet Guy claimed he would master it within a year.
But surprised as he was, Kakashi was not worried at all. After all, once the Eight Gates were opened, the user would die completely. It was a ninjutsu that drained all of one's Chakra.

Might Guy burst into laughter. "Kakashi, you actually feel afraid? That means my ninjutsu is still very powerful. Don't worry, this technique is definitely meant for enemies!"
Kakashi forced a smile. Guy's bad joke genuinely frightened him a little.
To this day, Kakashi had never experienced the threat of death.

Mainly because Kakashi thought this blockhead might actually mean it.
