Mission Scroll and Character Compendium

Torikaze froze for a moment, his entire body going rigid.

Hiruzen sensed that something was wrong and gave Torikaze a slight shake. "What is it, Torikaze?"

Torikaze finally came back to his senses and quickly waved a hand. "Nothing. I used too much Chakra just now, so I'm a little tired."

Hiruzen nodded. He had expended quite a bit of Chakra himself, and it was clearly impossible to set out on a mission right now.

"Then go home and get some rest. We'll leave tomorrow."

Eager to figure out what was going on with the system, Torikaze readily agreed to Hiruzen's suggestion.

The others nodded in acceptance as well.

The spar ended just like that, with Torikaze successfully joining the team for a mission. Everyone went home to rest up and prepare to depart the next day.

Mission Scroll: Each time a village mission is successfully completed, the system will grant a random reward according to the mission rank.

Character Compendium: Unlocking the corresponding character in the Character Compendium will grant a certain amount of Tranquility Points, with an extremely low chance of obtaining a mysterious reward.

Once the system finished introducing the two new functions, an almost crazed smile spread across Torikaze's face!

His battle with Hiruzen Sarutobi had mainly been mentally exhausting. Torikaze did not have much combat experience.

He had only caught Hiruzen Sarutobi off guard thanks to Hashirama's intensive tutoring over the past few days and his strange assortment of ninjutsu.

If they fought again, it would be very difficult for Torikaze to win.

After all, Hiruzen Sarutobi and the others were ninjas who had been through countless battles and completed missions of all sizes.

Could there be any decent people in a place where samurai and ninjas slept in the same bed?

He found a picture of his Shishou, Hashirama Senju, and tapped it with his finger. The system's voice rang out again.

"Damn! Is Shishou really worth this much?" Torikaze could not help blurting out.

A thousand points was what he would need ten days of check-ins to save up! Unfortunately, it was a one-time reward and could not be unlocked repeatedly.

It would be great if the compendium could be changed so that different periods of a person's life could be unlocked separately. He could harvest every character over and over again. Just thinking about it was exciting!

After trying a few more times, Torikaze understood how this thing worked.
