Torikaze opened the System Shop, and its dazzling array of goods appeared before him once more. Unlike last time, he was no longer timid and hesitant.
Now that Torikaze possessed a "fortune," he was like a weasel in a henhouse, wanting to buy everything in sight!
But when he saw the sky-high prices, the air of a nouveau riche immediately shrank away. No matter when, money was always the biggest pain point!
"System, search for Chakra-related items."
At Torikaze's command, the goods in the Shop began darting up and down.
Before long, every item related to Chakra had appeared at the very top for Torikaze to choose from.
Strengthening Fruit (could improve the quality of Chakra, making Ninjutsu more powerful. 2,000 Tranquility Points)
One Kakashi of Chakra (roughly equal to Kakashi Hatake's amount of Chakra. 5,000 Tranquility Points)
After choosing for a long time, these two items were ultimately the most suitable for Torikaze's current situation. Most of the other things were bizarre and strange; some even reduced Chakra! And they dared to charge ten thousand Tranquility Points for them!
Having made his decision, he no longer hesitated and spent 7,000 Tranquility Points to exchange for the two items.
As they fused into his body, he only felt a warm current continuously coursing through him until his whole body began turning red and feverish!
Torikaze hurried into the bathroom, filled a large bucket with cold water, and dumped it over his head.
Only then did he feel a little better.
He panted heavily, unable to understand why this was happening. He had not felt this way even when he first fused with a Kekkei Genkai.
Could it be because the quality of the two Kakashis' worth of Chakra in his body had improved at the same time?
Fortunately, the sensation did not last long, and his body soon returned to normal.
Torikaze looked at his panel. His Chakra had become 2 Kakashis, and his strength had also reached Jonin level.
Torikaze had expected this. Increasing the Chakra within his body would more or less improve his own strength.
Although having more Chakra would make him stronger, it would also make that strength unstable. He needed to train in various techniques to bring his strength in line with his Chakra.
Today had truly been fruitful. Torikaze could finally use Tranquility Points to exchange for items, no longer needing to worry about saving up sixty thousand to deal with Madara Uchiha.
His strength had also risen by a small margin, making him that much safer.
Never mind the future; right now, Uchiha Setsuna was still lurking somewhere, preparing to kill Torikaze in a single strike.
Now, though, Torikaze had no need to fear him. If he dared come, Torikaze would destroy him outright.
Torikaze might be easygoing and enjoy taking it easy, but he was definitely not someone who would allow others to bully him.
A breeze swept past, making Torikaze shiver. Only then did he realize that he was still soaked through!
He quickly took off his drenched clothes, dried himself off, burrowed beneath the blankets, and fell sound asleep.
"Big Brother, are you really at ease with this?"
In the Hokage Office, Tobirama Senju spoke with a grave expression.
Hashirama waved a hand. "Didn't you see that kid's strength? It's true that Monkey was careless and unfamiliar with his opponent."
"But a loss is a loss. If this had happened on the Battlefield, Monkey might have gotten himself into serious trouble."
Tobirama had nothing to say to that. In truth, Hashirama and Tobirama had watched Torikaze and Hiruzen Sarutobi's match from beginning to end.
At first, Tobirama had never imagined that Torikaze could win. Though he believed Torikaze was quite talented, he had assumed his strength would definitely be below Hiruzen Sarutobi's.
Yet reality had slapped him hard in the face. That disappointing Monkey had actually lost! Big Brother's grin had nearly reached the sky!
Seeing his younger brother's dark expression, unable to vent because of his elder brother's authority, Hashirama could not help laughing.
"Hahaha, Tobirama, don't be so tense. I'll send a Wood Clone to follow them. Treat it as a trial."
"But didn't you decide that children would never again be sent onto the Battlefield? How is this any different?"
Tobirama questioned him. He had thought himself the one who understood Big Brother best, yet now he had no idea what Big Brother was thinking.
"If it were anyone else, I would never agree."
Tobirama froze. Before he could speak, he heard Hashirama continue.
"Torikaze is different from the others. He is intelligent by nature. His Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Chakra, and intellect are all first-rate!"
"If such a Genius is carefully sheltered in a garden and never allowed to weather even the slightest storm, that would be what truly ruins him."
After hearing this, Tobirama was no longer agitated. He merely said, "Big Brother is right. I was being obstinate."
Hashirama stood and walked in front of Tobirama, patting him on the shoulder. "You are not being obstinate. You are simply too concerned about Torikaze's safety."
Tobirama looked up at Big Brother. That familiar signature smile made anyone who saw it feel incomparably reassured.
"Torikaze is like you. He possesses astonishing talent in developing Ninjutsu, which is why you feel this way. You are afraid that this frail sapling will snap in the wind."
"Just like... Itama Senju and Kawama Senju."
"Big Brother..."
The deaths of his two younger brothers had always been Big Brother's taboo, yet today he had brought them up himself.
"Rest easy. I have always felt that Torikaze will become an even more outstanding ninja than I am."
"Before then, I will not allow anything to happen to him. After all, I am his Shishou!"
Tobirama nodded and said nothing more. Since Big Brother had said so, then as both his younger brother and subordinate, he naturally had no right to stop him.
With a Wood Clone there, the children's safety would not be a problem.
He did not know when he had developed this feeling, but Tobirama sometimes felt as though all of Konoha's children were his own descendants.
Whenever government affairs were not too busy, Tobirama would often visit the Ninja Academy and watch those children study diligently, striving to become ninja and taking the protection of Konoha as their duty.
A smile would unconsciously appear on his face.
Tobirama believed that this was his Will of Fire.
No matter how strong he and Big Brother were, they would eventually grow old. Only by protecting the tender sprouts could the tree continue to grow.
And once old withered branches like them had burned away their last trace of energy, they would become fertilizer to nourish the sprouts into maturity.
That was also why Tobirama had wanted to stop Torikaze when Hashirama tacitly approved of his actions.
In his view, the older generation of ninja had not yet exhausted the last of their radiance. Sending a six-year-old child to carry out missions was an insult to him.
"Hahaha, Tobirama, come to think of it, you would probably be a more qualified Hokage than I am!"
Hashirama slapped Tobirama on the back and laughed heartily.
The corners of Tobirama's lips rose slightly. "Who knows? After all, I have never been Hokage."
The two smiled at each other, then tacitly resumed handling the work that Torikaze had interrupted earlier.
Every matter, large and small, in Konoha had to be reported to the Hokage. Without Tobirama's help, Hashirama truly feared that he would drop dead from overwork in the office.
But even if there were twice as many documents to handle, Hashirama would never complain, because this was the village he loved deeply.
