Everyone's Surprise

Another half hour passed. Hogen had been trying for nearly an hour and a half.

Torikaze was already considering having Hogen stop refining.

But just then, Torikaze sensed a faint trace of Chakra appearing within Hogen's body.

It was incredibly weak. Torikaze could probably blow it away with a sneeze.

But it really was Chakra! His son had truly refined Chakra at the age of four!

At the same time, Hogen opened his eyes. The long period of refining and sitting cross-legged had left him exhausted.

But with a single Healing Art from Torikaze, he immediately recovered.

"Dad! I think I succeeded!"

Hogen was ecstatic! Although he did not really understand what it meant to cultivate Chakra at the age of four, he knew that he could finally perform ninjutsu like his father!

Torikaze was immensely gratified as well. He had truly only meant for Hogen to give it a try.

He had not held much hope, yet it had actually succeeded!

His son's talent truly was extraordinary!

Torikaze lifted Hogen high into the air. "Hogen, you little brat really are a genius!"

Hogen burst into laughter at Torikaze's antics. Father and son were both thrilled beyond measure.

Yahiko and Konan were briefly dumbfounded before their expressions turned to surprise and delight.

"Congratulations, Hogen! You refined your first trace of Chakra! You'll probably become a ninja very soon!"

"That's right! Sister is so happy for you!"

Torikaze set Hogen down, intending to tell Chisato and Hashirama about the news.

"Remember, don't go spreading this everywhere. We need to keep a low profile."

Hogen, Yahiko, and Konan almost simultaneously made gestures of sealing their lips, indicating that they would not tell anyone.

Torikaze could not help but laugh at the three children's silly behavior.

He then called Chisato to inform her.
