Tsunade's Wager

"It was only because your master asked me to help you. I merely did what I could."

Tsunade Senju gave a faintly self-mocking laugh. "Heh, I couldn't overcome my hemophobia after all these years, yet you cured it so casually. There's always someone greater out there."

Besides painful memories, hemophobia had brought Tsunade Senju countless inconveniences.

She had always had a fiery temper, but because of her hemophobia, whenever she lost a bet, she could only run away.

Whenever that happened, Tsunade hated blood more than anything.

But after a while, she would be fine again. After all, she was no longer a ninja and no longer needed to fight and kill.

Now that her hemophobia had been cured, Tsunade couldn't say she felt anything particularly special about it.

She had been away from the life of a ninja for so many years that she had nearly adapted to this way of living.

"So then, is there anything else? You cured my illness. What price do you need me to pay?"

Tsunade Senju's attitude toward Torikaze was indifferent, a result of all her years drifting from place to place.

She kept a reasonable distance from everyone. Having met all sorts of people,

she no longer trusted others so easily.

She admitted that Torikaze was very capable, but the more capable a person was, the more dangerous they tended to be.

Torikaze smiled. "I don't need you to do anything. However, your master hopes you can remain in Konoha and become a ninja again."

"Huh? Become a ninja?"

Tsunade Senju immediately waved her hand. "No. Absolutely not. I've already given up the life of a ninja. You have no idea what that old man has been doing behind the scenes. It's made it impossible for me to continue living in Konoha
