War Begins and Awakening

Magnolia Park.

A large crowd had gathered here, all of them mages from Fairy Tail. Erza, Mira, and the others had all arrived, congregating in front of a large tree.

Everyone looked up at the tree before them, their expressions grim and stifled. The atmosphere throughout the park carried the faint feeling of layers upon layers of buried explosives slowly being lit.

Erza said nothing, her eyes filled with fury.

Mira's expression was equally icy.

Just then.

The sound of a cane striking the ground came from behind them. The crowd parted to make way, revealing Makarov walking over step by step, leaning on a wooden staff.

He looked up at Jet and Toroi hanging from the tree, then slowly lowered his head. Raising his left hand to cover his face, his fingers and body tensed.

After a brief tremble.

He spoke slowly, his voice repressed. "If it were only the guild being destroyed, I could endure it. But laying hands on the children of my guild... as a parent, that is absolutely unforgivable..."

Crack!!!

As his words fell, Makarov tightened his grip, crushing the wooden staff in his hand into countless splinters.

He suddenly raised his head, monstrous fury blazing in his eyes. His short body was not imposing, yet it seemed to ignite a fire of anger that soared into the heavens!

"Let's go to war!"

As Makarov's words fell, Natsu and the others, who had long been boiling with rage, could no longer restrain themselves either, letting out a thunderous roar together.

Makarov turned to Feng Ye and said, "Feng Ye, you and Lucy stay behind at the guild. Take care of the injured and the children. This time, I'll lead the team myself!"
