At the Da Nei River camp, Roy would go fishing by the river every morning for the past two days, and then try to learn the sword dance from the Magic Crystal that Countess Amelia had given him. However, his progress was very slow... or rather, there was no progress at all! On the other hand, his ' Minor Healing ' was becoming more and more proficient.

Klayr has been receiving frequent invitations from the Silver Moon Elf students at the camp these past two days. Everyone who comes to the camp wants to get to know Wagner Klayr.

On the third day after arriving at the Da Nei River camp, the group of kidnapped elven students finally arrived at the Da Nei River camp.

They all looked listless, and even after arriving at the Da Nei River camp, they stayed in their tents all day and refused to see anyone.

It seems this hijacking incident has been a huge blow to them...

That afternoon, Master Harper hurriedly arrived by boat from Castleton, accompanied by several senior college officials.

Surrounded by a group of people, Master Harper walked into the Da Nei River camp. Although his face appeared extremely calm, Roy could clearly see that his hands were clenched into fists.

Master Harper has consistently suggested strengthening the coastal defenses of Castleton Harbour.

However, it has not received much attention from the Castleton Elven Council over the years.

He even proposed converting the Ophelia Royal Family's Seaside Manor into a military castle. If a Magic Cannon Tower could be erected on the tallest building of the Seaside Manor, the entire Castleton Harbour would be within the range of the Magic Cannon Tower.

However, it was this suggestion that caused him to completely offend the Ophelia Royal Family.

As a result, his proposals couldn't even get to the Elder Council...

Upon arriving at the camp, he didn't rest but went straight into the tent of a rescued Silver Moon Elf, where he comforted the students...

Master Harper visited each tent, offering words of comfort, before finally speaking with the elf students who had narrowly escaped the trap that day.

He was the last to summon Roy and Klayr. Roy and Klayr entered Master Harper's tent, and before Roy could even introduce himself, Master Harper gestured for them to sit down. Then he said to them:

"You two did a great job. Fortunately, you discovered the Slave Traders in time, otherwise the academy would have suffered even greater losses. The subsequent response was also excellent, calm and collected. Someone sent out a distress signal, and someone else was specifically responsible for intercepting other students heading to the registration point."

Roy and Klayr were very pleased to receive praise from Master Harper.

Master Harper added, "After this outdoor practical course ends, I will personally apply to the college for this honor on your behalf."

Klayr's sea-blue eyes lit up, and she quickly said, "Thank you, Master Harper."

Roy and Klayr sat side by side. After Klayr finished speaking, he asked, "Teacher, is the jungle sign-in task for geography class just going to be canceled like this?"

Master Harper sighed softly, "Yes, this matter has already spread like wildfire in Castleton City. However, the academy has not yet been able to notify all the students scattered throughout the jungle. Nevertheless, the instructors at each sign-in point have been notified that they will inform all students who have gone to sign in to suspend this task."

Roy was actually quite interested in this sign-in task, so he said with some regret, "To be honest, it's a bit of a pity. I think this sign-in task is quite challenging for us."

Master Harper was also slightly disappointed and said to Roy, "I assigned this task so that you could walk through the entire Malaga Jungle. As children of Castleton City, how can you not be familiar with the Malaga Jungle? At the end of the Elven Dynasty, you could still see magical beasts in this jungle. How long has it been? You can't even find a trace of magical beasts here!"

"Teacher, are we going to continue upstream on the Da Nei River?" Roy asked curiously again.

"Of course, only the geography class is suspended; the other courses still need to be completed. I have no authority to agree to any conditions on behalf of the teachers of other courses," said Master Harper.

"Understood," Roy and Klayr replied simultaneously.

Master Harper stood up, walked over to the two of them, patted them hard on the shoulders, and said, "Alright, go and get some rest. You've wasted so many days. I advise you to just stick to the Da Nei River and go upstream. It's the most convenient route, and the scenery along the way is the most beautiful."

The two expressed their gratitude once again for Master Harper's kind reminder:

"Master Harper!"

As Klayr walked out of Master Harper's tent, she said to Roy:

"Roy, I've discovered that once you walk to the Da Nei River, all your tasks will be completely finished."

He turned around and walked backwards.

"And my task has only just begun. My sketches and sculptures take up a lot of time every day, and I also have to write a travelogue. My goodness, I'm full of inspiration right now. I've even thought of a title for this travelogue: ' The Checkpoint Two. ' But it may be a very long one. This is the first time I've felt so eager to write something and record a certain moment in my life."

Roy couldn't tell if Klayr was complaining or showing off...

"That's great!" Roy said vaguely.

"But there are still two weeks left. Even if I sculpt in the morning, write travelogues in the afternoon, and do sketching and music composition in the evening... it's simply not enough time!"

Roy rolled his eyes and stared at Klayr, asking, "Klayr, didn't you already finish your sketch?"

Klayr chuckled and whispered, "... Actually, it's still a little short."

"Tell me, how can I help you? Actually, my mother is a sculptor, and I've seen her work. I can do the final polishing for your statue," Roy asked Klayr.

Klayr immediately perked up and whispered to Roy, "Roy, do you usually listen to music?"

Roy shook his head and said, "The only place on Brown Street with a musical crystal is the pub at the top of the street, but I rarely go there."

"Do you even understand music theory?"

Roy shook his head again.

Klayr was somewhat disappointed. "Never mind then, just pretend I didn't say anything."

Roy stopped and pulled him to the roadside in the camp, whispering, "Are you looking for some inspiration?"

Seeing Klayr's dejected expression, Roy, leaning against a wooden frame in the camp with one hand, turned around and said:

"Hey, hey! Klayr, you know what, I think I actually have a way to help you with this. Although I don't understand the music theory of elves, in life, every elf has their own melody, like sitting by the sea gazing at the stars, or like sitting quietly by the Da Nei River on a moonlit night."

"Listen carefully to the sound of the flowing river; each different sound is a beautiful and melodious note. If you combine these notes, they will become one of the most beautiful melodies in nature," Roy said.

Klayr perked up, put her arm around Roy's shoulder, and said excitedly, "Yes, that's right, that's how music should be. Can you help me with that?"

"I may not know how to write it down, but I do know how to listen attentively!" Roy replied readily.

Klayr put her arm around Roy and walked forward, saying:

"It's a promise, you have to help me with this."

Night falls, and moonlight spills onto the Da Nei River.

The flowing river shimmered in the sunlight, and Roy and Klayr sat by the riverbank, quietly watching the water.

Roy even made himself a simple fishing rod, tied a stone to the fishing line, put an earthworm on the hook, and threw it directly into the Da Nei River.

Roy barely had to wait before the fishing line suddenly sank, nearly pulling the fishing rod in Roy hand into the river.

The river is rich in resources, and you don't need any fishing skills to catch fish.

This time, the fishing line and rod were under tremendous strain, and Roy nearly fell into the river several times while playing the fish.

Roy never expected that his first cast would bring back a ten-pound Beef Leg Fish.

Roy then put down his fishing rod, gathered some firewood on the Da Nei River, and started a fire there...

Roy made thorough preparations in order to be able to enjoy this grilled fish.

A grilling rack, salt, pepper, and small lemons are all provided.

Roy found some stones by the river and placed them around the fire before putting the barbecue grill on top.

Seeing Roy deftly pick up the fish and squat down by the river to process it, Klayr followed him and asked curiously, "Did you prepare all of this in advance?"

"Certainly!"

Roy had already cleaned the fish; all it needed to do was sprinkle some salt on it and marinate it.

Klayr squatted down beside him, looking completely bewildered. "But... what about all those inspirations you mentioned?"

Roy pointed to the Da Nei River and whispered, "It's right in the river. You have to listen carefully to the sound of the water flowing..."

"What's so great about the sound of the Da Nei River?" Klayr said, looking annoyed. She swatted a mosquito and got a little impatient.

Roy placed the fish on the grill, then stood up and said to Klayr, "You need to calm down first. You can meditate or pray, you just need to calm down. I usually pray before eating fish. Hey! Go over there and get me some firewood!"

He pointed to the pile of firewood.

"Okay!" Klayr turned around and helped him get some firewood.

Roy focused on grilling the fish, the oil seeping from the skin dripping down and then popping and crackling in the fire.

The aroma drifted downstream along the Da Nei River.

Klayr smelled it too, but had no intention of trying it...

The grilled fish was very flavorful. Roy used a knife to carve two wooden chopsticks and then began to enjoy the delicious late-night snack.

Roy ate a few bites of grilled fish, then picked up his chopsticks with one hand and began to hum a tune:

"Oh...oh...oh, ta-da...ta-da! Oh...oh...oh, ta-da...ta-da..."

Klayr was initially a little disappointed, but when he heard Roy humming the melody, his eyes widened, and he began to stare intently at the grilled fish, wanting to understand how Roy had found inspiration in it.
