Roy and Sabrina wandered the beach until the afternoon but still didn't see Christine and Ji Jilu, the two Silver Moon Elf.

Pattington Island is a volcano that has been split in two. It's not very big, but it would probably take at least two days to walk around the entire island. The beaches on the island aren't all white sand; many places are rocky, and some have cliffs.

"What should we do? Maybe we should go back to the hotel and see if they've already returned."

Roy jumped from a rock onto the beach and said to Sabrina.

"Then let's go back to the hotel." Sabrina was at a loss for what to do.

Following the path through the mountain crevice back to the inn, Sabrina still hadn't seen Christine and Ji Jilu. She grew anxious, her eyes filled with worry.

The two ate some of the lunch prepared by Ms. Nancy and then went back to their room to rest.

As evening approached, it got dark very early in Pattington Town. Still, Christine and Ji Jilu hadn't returned to the inn, and Sabrina became somewhat restless in the living room.

Roy went back to his room, put on his Thick Leather Armor, and came out to say to Sabrina, who was sitting in the living room with a furrowed brow:

"Let's go, let's look outside again..."

Sabrina quickly stood up, slung the greatsword that was leaning against the wall over her shoulder, and the two of them walked out of the inn again.

It was already quite dark outside Pattington Town, but through the cracks in the rocks, the light outside the island was still decent.

There were very few pedestrians on the street, and only the town square was still lit up, with a large amount of supplies piled up there.

As Roy passed a street corner, he saw an elven boy squatting by a low wall of bushes, seemingly picking red berries from the bushes. The boy turned around as if sensing something, smiled at Roy, and said, "It's so late, are you still going out?"

Roy didn't hide anything and said directly, "Two of our teammates went out this morning and haven't come back yet. We're planning to go back to the beach to look for them."

The elven boy stuffed the berries into his leather pouch, wiped his hands, which were covered in berry juice, on his lapel, and, wearing a rather rustic leather hat, said to Roy with a silly look on his face:

"Do you need any help?"

Without waiting for Roy's reply, the elven boy followed the two of them and said to Roy Roy behind, "I'm very good at tracking Jungle Tracking."

Roy recalled how Roy had transformed into a giant bear when he introduced himself that day, and thought that perhaps Roy was fluent in Beast Language. Seeing that Roy was willing to help, he said, "Thank you."

Seeing that Roy had agreed, the elven boy asked Roy excitedly, "Do you have any personal belongings of your two missing companions? If so, I can track them down by their scent."

Roy didn't expect him to find people by scent, but Roy wasn't very familiar with Christine and Ji Jilu, and didn't have any of the two Silver Moon Elf ' personal belongings.

"Um, the hotel should have some. I'll go get it," Roy said.

The elven boy quickly stopped Roy and said, "Actually, it's okay if you don't have one. Tell me about your friend's characteristics, and I can track him down in another way."

Roy's eyes were full of sincerity, and he wasn't joking at all. He said:

"Two young Silver Moon Elf, a man and a woman. Silver Moon Elf, you know, they are somewhat arrogant."

"Let me go ask!"

The elven boy spoke to Roy, then walked to a not-so-tall Hibiscus Tree at the street corner, placed his hand on the trunk of the Hibiscus Tree, seemingly communicating with Hibiscus Tree.

After waiting a moment, the elven boy returned and said to Roy:

"They must have walked past here this morning, but they haven't returned. That Silver Moon Elf lady was even carrying a Battle Shortbow..."

The elven boy smiled after speaking, revealing a set of neat white teeth.

He had a Tree of Life tattooed on his arm, with vines winding around it. When he stood at the Cross Street Intersection, he placed his hands on his head, chanting incantations while drawing a Magic Rune Array resembling a raven above his head.

Each time a Magic Rune Array is drawn, the black raven at the center of the array will fly out of the array.

He drew it twice in a row; two black crows fluttered into the dim sky and disappeared in an instant.

"Let's keep looking. If they're on the beaches around the island, my raven will find them soon," the elven boy said confidently.

"Is this magic?" Roy asked curiously.

The three of them walked together toward the edge of town, where there were still Elven Guard standing watch at the dock.

The elven boy frankly said, "This is a druid's Summoning Magic, but unfortunately I can only summon crows and flower vines. I don't know any more advanced spells yet!"

Following the path through the rock crevice to the outside of the island, the elven boy searched the surrounding area for a long time before finally finding a palm tree next to a reef.

The elven boy reached his hand onto the palm tree, and this time it took him a full three minutes to remove it.

He turned his head and looked at Roy and Sabrina with some hesitation.

"What's wrong?" Roy asked curiously.

The elven boy asked Roy earnestly, "Are those two really your teammates?"

Roy patted his chest and assured him, "That's right, we're from the same Adventure Group."

The elven boy glanced at the palm tree and hesitated before saying, "But what I saw was that the two of them were hiding from you here, clearly not wanting to see you."

"..."

Roy and Sabrina exchanged a glance, and it really did come true what Roy had said that morning.

Roy stepped forward, patted the elf boy on the shoulder, and said, "There's nothing we can do about it. Before the captain left, he entrusted the two of them to our care. Since we promised the captain, we have to keep our promise."

"They went that way after that..."

After saying that, the elven boy pointed to a beach on the east side, and sure enough, the two chose to go in opposite directions.

The elven boy led Roy and Sabrina, running along the beach, occasionally finding a tree by the sea to track Christine and Ji Jilu.

According to the elf boy, the two of them walked quite a distance eastward along the beach.

However, the beach had already ended, and a large area of reefs appeared ahead, with cliffs along the coast further on, making the path even more difficult.

Upon reaching this point, the elven boy leaped onto a reef, sniffed the sea breeze, and then, stepping on rocks covered with sharp oysters, ran deeper into the reef.

When the elven boy stopped, he saw a Flying Fish Boat that was almost smashed to pieces, wedged between several sea rocks, with some broken planks next to it.

The rocky outcrops were covered with messy footprints. The elven boy looked at the footprints on the beach, then sniffed the air on the Flying Fish Boat, and turned to Roy, saying:

"It's the scent of strangers, many people, and some of them smell of blood. It's a pity there are no trees here, so we have no way of knowing what happened..."

As he spoke, he followed the messy footprints out of the rocky area, where he found himself in the dense forest at the foot of the volcano.

The elven boy found a large tree and said to Roy with a somewhat solemn expression, "It's a group of humans. After they landed on the island, they captured two of your companions. There's also a Half-Elf among these humans. They led your companions into this jungle, so they shouldn't have gone too far."

Ever since he chased the boat to the sea reef and saw some messy footprints on the beach next to the Flying Fish Boat, Roy had a very bad feeling.

Now the elven boy has finally confirmed it: someone did indeed kidnap Christine and Ji Jilu...

Roy scratched his head and said to Sabrina, who had been silent beside him:

"Could they be prisoners who escaped from Parraram Island?"

Sabrina shook her head.

She was completely at a loss...

By this time, the sky was gradually darkening. The elven boy raised his head and raised his right arm, and two black crows landed on his arm.

The elven boy stroked the black crows, whispered something in their ears, pointed to the dense forest, and the two tireless crows fluttered into the forest again.

"Speaking of which... this jungle is my home turf. Let's go! As long as they don't leave this jungle, they'll be able to meet us soon."

The elven boy said to Roy.

The elven boy walked ahead, and Roy warned him, "Those are probably a group of escaped Slave Traders; they're very dangerous!"

The elven boy stopped, glanced at Roy, and then continued to follow the tracks in the jungle.

The three hadn't gone far when one of the black crows broke through the darkness and suddenly landed on the elf boy's shoulder.

The elven boy immediately abandoned the current tracking path and walked out of the dark jungle. The three of them hid behind a reef by the sea.

The elven boy drew Magic Rune Array on the ground while continuing to chant incantations.

Sabrina nudged Roy beside her and looked toward a sea reef. Roy followed Sabrina's gaze and saw two shirtless sailors on a rocky beach, groping in the dark to collect shellfish from the crevices of the rocks.

Their movements were careful and subtle, but they still did not escape Sabrina's eyes.

Sabrina took the Heavy Sword off her back and held it in her hand. After the elven boy finished chanting the spell, the fine sand beneath his feet suddenly began to churn. Then, a flower vine with a ring of sharp teeth emerged from the sand and instantly disappeared back into it.

The vine was about as thick as Roy's thigh, and its bark was covered with variegated colors.

Sabrina crept forward along the rocky cliff, the vine following behind Sabrina, though it lay hidden in the sand, only occasionally revealing damp sand churning out from beneath it.

The elven boy clutched an Acorn Seed in his hand, pursing his lips, looking somewhat nervous.

Roy then held the Holy Scepter in his hand, with a small Round Shield on his other arm.
