Touring the City 2
Miss Christine, having set aside her arrogance, was not so difficult to get along with. In particular, she was very knowledgeable and had a great understanding of adventurous life. In just half a day, she had become a close friend of Sabrina, with whom she could talk about anything.
Miss Christine also admitted that her initial dislike of Sabrina was influenced by Instructor Virgil.
But now her opinion has changed. Although Instructor Virgil's image hasn't collapsed, it's no longer as appealing to her.
The two elven beauties walked side by side down the street, sat on a treetop terrace, drank iced fruit tea together, and tried fruits that Roy and Sabrina couldn't even name.
Padesto City; Residential Area occupy only a small corner of the city, while the rest are commercial areas.
You can buy a lot of good things here, including the manticore tooth that Roy had his eye on yesterday. The stall owner actually agreed to the price of one Magic Crystal Stone.
This is a gift Roy prepared for Ms. Belinda. In addition, Roy also bought a very sharp short sword with an exquisite handle, which is a gift for Moira.
That's right! Roy had already prepared gifts for the two of them at the beginning of the trip.
He was afraid that he wouldn't have time later, and wouldn't have such a good opportunity to go shopping again...
Just as Roy was about to pay at the counter of the Magic Weapon Shop, he suddenly saw a familiar figure pass by on the street through the window. At first, he thought his eyes were playing tricks on him, but after realizing what was happening, Roy grabbed his short sword and ran out of the shop, only to find that the figure had already disappeared into the vast crowd.
And so, Roy once again missed Benjamin.
I missed him once before, on the Back Street of the Castleton Elf Academy, and I didn't expect to fail to catch him again this time.
Sabrina and Miss Christine chased after them from inside the shop. Sabrina asked with some concern:
"Roy, what's wrong?"
Roy looked away with a hint of annoyance and said, "It's nothing, I think I just saw someone I know."
Sabrina asked curiously, "You have friends here?"
Roy waved his hand and explained, "He's not a friend, he's a human mage who used to be Slave Traders on the Golden Tangerine. Now he's displaced, and I hope to have the opportunity to capture him and bring him back to Castleton, preferably to imprison him on Parraram Island."
"A human mage?" Miss Christine asked in surprise.
"Hmm." Roy nodded.
Miss Christine suggested, "We can report this to the local Magic Guild. Without the Magic Guild's support, the mages here will likely find it very difficult to move forward..."
Roy shook his head and said, "I did the same thing in Castleton City, but the Castleton Magic Guild completely ignored me."
Miss Christine said, "Padesto's Magic Guild hasn't gotten that bad yet. How will we know if it will work if we don't try?"
Since she said that, Roy had no choice but to agree to give it a try.
The three of them went to ask the shop Boss for directions to the Magic Guild, and after asking around, they finally found the Magic Guild in Padesto City.
The Magic Guild is also built on the treetop, but Magic Guild architecture is quite unique. The entire building almost completely envelops the tree trunk, and even the steps below are made from the exposed aerial roots of the tree.
Upon entering the lobby of the Magic Guild's first floor, the female receptionists of the Magic Guild stood with their backs against a large tree in front of a curved reception desk.
Encouraged by the looks of Sabrina and Christine, Roy steeled himself and walked up to the receptionist, explaining why he had come.
At the front desk of the Magic Guild, the two female receptionists exchanged bewildered glances, unsure of what to do, and could only report the situation truthfully to their supervisor.
Roy waited at the counter for a while, and then two mages from the Magic Guild Enforcement Team came over and led Roy, Sabrina, and Miss Christine to a room on the second floor.
Roy explained the situation truthfully, and the Magic Guild Enforcement Team took it very seriously.
But Roy's words made it impossible for them to imagine what the human mage looked like. The mage from the enforcement team asked Roy:
Do you have a portrait of that human mage?
Roy paused slightly, then asked the two magicians in the enforcement team:
Are there any other human mages in Padesto City?
The magicians of the enforcement team did not give a direct answer, but only said:
"In any case, we need a portrait."
Seeing Roy's conflicted expression, Sabrina, who was sitting next to him, nudged Roy with her elbow and whispered, "Why don't you draw one now?"
Roy almost forgot that Sabrina's paintings were quite good. Among the portraits of the sailors of the Golden Tangerine she painted for him last time, there was actually a portrait of the Benjamin the Mage. However, Roy had already given that set of portraits to the port Guard Squad.
Now all Sabrina needs to do is draw another one according to Roy's description, which isn't actually that difficult.
It took half a day of effort at the Magic Guild to finally resolve this matter.
The mages of the Magic Guild Enforcement Team also took this matter very seriously and quickly released the news.
Roy walked out of the Magic Guild, feeling that he had done what he was supposed to do, and his mind was no longer troubled.
Instructor Nora spent the whole day at the Adventurers Guild and managed to gather a lot of information about the Griffon Bulwark.
Almost every Adventure Group turns pale at the mention of Griffon Bulwark, as everyone still holds a deep sense of awe for the extremely treacherous mountains at the southern end of Padesto.
Some Adventure Group leaders even suggested that Instructor Nora abandon this adventure or change the adventure plan.
Instructor Nora had already made up her mind and had no intention of changing the plan.
Instructor Eleanor also made a great discovery. She heard that some elves live at the foot of that mountain range, and the Adventure Group can choose that village as their final stop.
"Nora, the information we've gathered suggests this adventure will be very dangerous. Do we really have to cross that mountain range?"
Instructor Virgil asked with a worried expression.
"What, are you scared before we've even set off?" Instructor Nora asked Instructor Virgil, holding her teacup.
Instructor Virgil smiled faintly, looked at Roy and Sabrina, and said:
"I'm worried about them!"
"Roy, how are you? Are you scared?" Instructor Nora asked Roy frankly.
"That's a little bit, but isn't that what adventures are all about?"
Roy chuckled and said.
"That's right, this is truly an adventure..."
Instructor Nora waved her arm excitedly, then gave the instructions to everyone:
"Everyone, get some rest early today. Tomorrow morning, we'll meet up with Guide Majeri at the Adventurers Guild and then head to Griffon Bulwark."
