Griffon
Roy never expected that his Adventure Group, by traveling with the caravan and fighting off the dire wolves alongside the Half-Elf hunters, would receive so much gratitude from the elves.
Everyone sat in front of the campfire, savoring the slightly sour berries. Luckily, Roy had eaten a few Elf Biscuit in the past few days, otherwise, just eating these berries would probably have caused his stomach acid to gush out.
Looking at the pile of Magic Herbs in front of her, Instructor Nora called out to the Magician Scarlett inside the tent:
"Scarlett, could you prepare some Healing Potion here?"
"Nora, did you burn out your brain while fighting the dire wolves? I'm an inscriptionist, I've hardly studied Magical Potions at all. The reason you used to come to me with Magic Herbs was because I was in the Castleton Magic Guild. I could just shout and someone would step up and make me Healing Potion."
Magician Scarlett poked her head out of the tent and launched a verbal attack on Instructor Nora.
She is restoring her magical powers through meditation in the tent.
Once in a meditative state, magicians don't like to be easily interrupted. This time, Magician Scarlett was clearly angry when Instructor Nora called her out.
"If it doesn't work, forget it. We'll take these Magic Herbs back to Castleton and have Scarlett find Potion Master to make a batch of Healing Potion for us. That should save us a lot of money," Instructor Nora said casually, completely ignoring Magician Scarlett's clamor.
Instructor Eleanor added a few more pieces of firewood to the campfire before asking Instructor Nora, "Nora, we're about to enter the territory of the Lapis Lazuli Beast. Should we continue with them? Didn't you want to try your luck in this area and hunt a few Lapis Lazuli Beast?"
Instructor Nora glanced around at the other members; the successive hunts had boosted the morale of the Adventure Group.
Instructors Gelu and Virgil had no intention of offering their opinions, and Roy, Sabrina, and Miss Christine had even less reason to have any.
Instructor Nora then said, "I plan to travel with the caravan. Perhaps some Lapis Lazuli Beast will come to us. With so many elves passing through their territory, they have no reason not to come out and investigate..."
"I support Nora's decision."
The instructors looked at each other and then spoke.
In fact, Roy only recently discovered that the three elves, Instructor Nora, Magician Scarlett, and Instructor Eleanor, have a very deep friendship.
It was probably this friendship that brought the three of them together on their adventure. Both Instructor Gru and Instructor Virgil actually joined later.
"Roy, your performance lately has far exceeded my expectations. Well done," Instructor Nora praised Roy in front of everyone.
The recent jungle training has tempered Miss Christine's temper considerably. Her aristocratic habits and spoiled princess attitude have gradually disappeared, and now she can sit peacefully with everyone. Although she doesn't talk much, you can see her smile when everyone is laughing...
She is an extremely talented Elf Archer with exceptional Wind Element perception. Unlike Instructor Gru's Rapid Arrow and Piercing Arrow, she will pursue the path of Multiple Arrows and Guided Arrow in the future.
She now sat in front of the campfire, gazing at Roy with a hint of curiosity in her eyes. The firelight danced in her lake-blue eyes, and her aristocratic air was mixed with an intellectual beauty. She also possessed a newfound spirituality, clearly having gained profound insights from the recent battles.
Her long silver hair, pointed ears, and straight nose made her face vivid and three-dimensional; the beauty of the Silver Moon Elf was simply indescribable...
Sabrina, on the other hand, appeared much more sophisticated, and even in her leather armor, her long legs were still undeniable.
However, she has been in a period of confusion recently. Although she has performed well in the recent battles, Roy knows that she is not used to it. She is not used to the jungle, nor is she used to fighting monsters.
In every battle, Roy could see that Sabrina was unable to unleash her full power.
She always held back her greatsword during battle. As a Heavy Armor Sword Dancer, her combat power would decrease by 30% if she lost that indomitable spirit...
Especially this time, when she swung her sword at the dire wolf, if she hadn't hesitated and inexplicably pulled back some of her strength, the Double-edged Greatsword would definitely not have only cleaved the dire wolf's scalp, but its skull would have remained completely undamaged...
"Sabrina, your strength is not a problem, but your fighting spirit still needs to be cultivated. You timed the two hunts of dire wolves very well, but you were not decisive enough when you made your move. The one you are facing is a dire wolf, not a classmate in the Training Ground. As long as it opens its mouth, it wants to swallow you whole."
Instructor Nora said to Sabrina.
"So when you strike, you can be even more ruthless," Instructor Nora added at the end.
"I understand, Instructor Nora!" Sabrina replied, her pretty face slightly flushed.
A night owl's cry echoed in the sky, and the caravan leader, Sindji, jumped up and looked up at the sky through the gaps in the jungle.
Guide Majeri did the same thing as him.
As he stood up, he shouted to Instructor Nora, "It's the cry of a griffin..."
Several instructors stood up at the same time, and everyone climbed to the top of the tree. Looking up at the sky through the gaps in the leaves, they saw a brown lion with huge fleshy wings flying across the sky.
At first glance, this thing doesn't actually have anything to do with eagles.
Its only fleshy wing resembles that of a giant bat, consisting entirely of a layer of fascia without a single feather.
Its head, body, limbs, and tail are almost identical to those of a land lion. The only similarity between it and a vulture is that the griffin also likes to use air currents to hover in the air. It is a flying magical beast with four claws and fleshy wings. It is cruel and bloodthirsty by nature. Currently, a large group of griffins occupy the Griffon Bulwark Mountain Range.
However, this place is still quite far from the Griffon Bulwark. Generally speaking, Griffins don't fly this far to hunt.
Because the southern forest is rich in magical beasts, and there are also many other small animals in the jungle, the griffins can easily catch a few to fill their stomachs...
But now, a griffin has flown near the territory of the Lapis Lazuli Beast.
"It's a griffin. How come there's a griffin here?" Instructor Eleanor stood on the treetop, watching the griffin fly away, and said with some confusion.
"Such a big one! Are these huge creatures everywhere in the Griffon Bulwark we're heading to?" Instructor Virgil turned to look at Instructor Nora.
"These are them! I never imagined they could fly so far after leaving their nest!"
Guide Majeri poked his head out from the treetop and looked at the griffin with a look of amazement.
