Roy's Dream
"Saying that Silver Moon Elf suppress Half-Elf doesn't represent the attitude of all Silver Moon Elf. At least we have a good relationship! And Elinore, Gelu, and Virgil haven't looked down on you either. We are friends, we were, we are, and we will be..."
Magician Scarlett put her arm around Instructor Nora's shoulder and said very emotionally.
Instructor Nora smiled and didn't argue further.
Although Castleton City advocates freedom and equality among elves, it is still divided into Upper District and Lower District. Silver Moon Elf remain wealthy, Half-Elf remain poor.
Many high-paying jobs in Castleton City are subtly reserved for the Silver Moon Elf.
Of course, there is a good side as well. At least the Elf Academy accepts students of Silver Moon Elf and Half-Elf, and all students are treated equally within the academy.
Although Roy might receive some disdain from the Silver Moon Elf in Castleton City, it was all done in a very subtle way.
It would never be as obvious as it was on the Pattington Plane, where the Silver Moon Elf did it.
It can be said that on the Pattington Plane, the conflict between the Silver Moon Elf and the Half-Elf is constantly escalating, and the Silvermoon Elven Nobles wish they could drive these Half-Elf out of the elven territory...
However, rumors from the Elf Continent say that the Pattington Plane is the last Safe Harbor for Half-Elf.
All the Half-Elf who want a peaceful and tranquil life will come to the Pattington Plane...
Roy was very curious about what the outside world was like, and whether it was also full of discrimination like the Elven World.
He walked out of Instructor Nora's room and returned to the entrance of his tent. Just as he was about to crawl in and get some sleep, he saw Sabrina sitting at the tent entrance, still awake.
By the campfire, Instructor Virgil and Instructor Eleanor were practicing swordsmanship. Amidst the flashing blades, Instructor Eleanor was like a fluttering butterfly, while Instructor Virgil wielded Dual Swords, his moves expansive and powerful, radiating the aura of a heavy-armored sword dance.
Sabrina saw Roy and asked him, "Are you done with your work over there?"
Roy knew she was referring to healing the Half-Elf, so he nodded and said, "Yes."
"Practice swordplay with me. I've noticed that you haven't been sparring with anyone much lately..."
After saying that, Sabrina slowly walked towards Roy, carrying her Double-edged Greatsword. Although she walked slowly, each step she took had a unique rhythm. If Roy was drawn into this rhythm, he would inevitably lose the initiative.
Roy knew how formidable Sabrina was; once she gained the upper hand, her Heavy Sword would relentlessly slash down, never stopping until she was exhausted.
Roy estimated that he would be completely dominated by Sabrina that night...
At home, it took Roy and Moira working together to put Sabrina to a standstill.
Roy jumped up immediately and protested to Sabrina, "How could I possibly beat you by myself? I need to find someone to help me..."
Just then, Miss Christine heard the commotion outside and poked her head out of the tent. Roy quickly said to Miss Christine:
"Christine, are you asleep? If not, let's team up against Sabrina!"
As she spoke, Sabrina had already arrived in front of Roy, and slashed down with her Double-edged Greatsword.
'Cleave'
This move is unpretentious, simple yet profound.
Roy, wielding the Holy Scepter, was no match for the Heavy Sword that came crashing down. He quickly crossed his Round Shield and scepter together, trying to withstand Sabrina's attack.
However, he still underestimated the power of Sabrina's sword. The heavy greatsword slashed down and struck the Holy Scepter, sparking a string of sparks. Roy felt as if a mountain was pressing down on him. His body swayed slightly, and he involuntarily took a step back before he could regain his balance.
Miss Christine was not asleep at this time either. She was wearing only a white shirt on her upper body and brown tight-fitting trousers on her lower body, which showed off the slender figure of the Silver Moon Elf.
Upon hearing Roy's invitation, Miss Christine didn't think much of it. She quickly slipped on her boots, grabbed her Battle Shortbow, and crawled out of the tent.
She certainly wasn't just standing by and shooting arrows at Sabrina; she had a Battle Shortbow in her hand, which, combined with her Archery Body Art, allowed her to engage in close-quarters combat.
Archery Body Art is a close-combat technique that Elf Archer must learn. Miss Christine's body is exceptionally flexible, and every move she makes is perfectly executed, clearly indicating that she has received instruction from a master.
The Battle Shortbow in Miss Christine's hand was like a double-edged sword, flashing with a streak of light as it slashed in front of Sabrina in the blink of an eye.
Sabrina held her Heavy Sword horizontally in front of her, blocking Miss Christine's sneak attack. Using the momentum, she reversed the Heavy Sword and swung it in a perfect circle in front of her, instantly trapping Miss Christine's double-edged sword within it. Christine dared not clash head-on with her Battle Shortbow and Heavy Sword, and quickly withdrew.
Roy finally had a chance to catch his breath. He knew Sabrina's strength and dared not be careless even when he joined forces with Miss Christine. He quickly charged into the battle circle with his Round Shield on.
The Holy Scepter flew toward the center of the Heavy Sword's blade, while the shield in his hand slammed into Sabrina's shoulder.
Sabrina shifted her body to the side, using her Heavy Sword to deftly deflect Roy's Holy Scepter. With a flick of her wrist, she slammed her sword into Roy's Round Shield, sending Roy sprawling.
Miss Christine charged in from the side...
Sabrina's Heavy Sword darted out from the right side in a bizarre motion, colliding with the Battle Shortbow, causing Miss Christine's Battle Shortbow to slip from her grasp.
The battle here attracted many Half-Elf to watch from a distance.
Sabrina's Heavy Sword blocked Roy and Christine's attacks one after another, forcing them back one after another, which immediately won cheers from the Half-Elf.
The battle left Roy drenched in sweat; he hadn't been this tired even when leading a horse around during the day.
Sabrina planted her Heavy Sword in the ground, reached out to help Roy up from the ground, and then clapped hands with Miss Christine. The confidence in her eyes seemed to have returned.
"That's how sword dance should be done. If you can maintain this fighting stance when dealing with those dire wolves, you can face them head-on, just like us..."
Instructor Nora walked over from the side and spoke to Sabrina.
After a vigorous workout, Sabrina's pretty face was flushed, and she was breathing slightly heavily.
Instructor Virgil and Instructor Eleanor also came over. Instructor Virgil was about to speak when Instructor Nora Instructor Nora interrupted him, saying, "Alright, that's enough for today. Get some rest. We need to get up early tomorrow to continue our journey. We don't know what dangers lie ahead. We need to get out of the Lapis Lazuli Beast's territory as soon as possible."
Back in the tent, Roy simply washed up, changed into a dry linen shirt, and then lay down.
That night, Roy dreamed of Abbott.
In the dream, Abbott, dressed in the robes of Novice Priest, stood on the street with a grin, asking Roy for the Golden Key.
Roy questioned him about why he killed Jasper, but Abbott just chuckled and didn't answer. When he finished laughing and turned around, Roy realized that there was another unfamiliar face behind him, holding two balls of flame.
Seeing that Roy didn't say a word, he threw the two balls of fire in his hands at Roy.
Roy suddenly woke up from his dream, gasping for breath, and then drank some cold water to calm down.
He wanted to find Abbott, not only to avenge Jasper, but also to find out who the fire mage beside him was. He felt that Abbott looked familiar, but he couldn't quite place the name...
In the woods, a beam of moonlight shone through the gaps in the trees, and the campfire beside them had burned out.
Roy needed to heal the Half-Elf hunters during the day, so Instructor Nora didn't assign him to night duty.
The elf sitting silently by the campfire was Instructor Gru. His Battle Shortbow lay flat on his knees, and two wind blades seemed to dance between his hands, swirling around his fingers.
Roy felt he might need to calm down before he could fall asleep.
So he came out of the tent and sat down by the campfire. Instructor Gru took a pot from the wooden rack and poured Roy a cup of fruit tea.
"What's wrong? Had a nightmare?" Instructor Gru asked with a smile.
Roy took a sip of the sweet fruit tea and immediately felt much better. His mood improved, and he nodded.
"One of my friends was killed by another friend, and now he wants to find me too. I've been waiting for him..." Roy was a little incoherent.
Instructor Gru asked, "Do you want to avenge your dead friend?"
Roy nodded, then shook his head.
"I want to send him to the Parrham Island Prison."
"If you need any help, feel free to call me anytime," Instructor Gru patted Roy on the shoulder and said.
Roy nodded, immediately feeling much more at ease.
"Would you like to learn archery?" Instructor Gru asked Roy.
Roy shook his head without hesitation and said to Instructor Gru, "I want to learn navigation and travel around while I'm still young..."
"That's a good idea, but you should worry about the Naga Sea Clan in the sea. Not all Naga in all seas can coexist peacefully with elves. Away from the Endless Sea, no one can say for sure how many Naga Sea Clan in other seas are hostile to us. But I do know that at least the Seven Realms Sea in the Chaotic Lands is full of hostile Naga..."
Instructor Gru whispered to Roy.
"I will be careful."
"Being cautious is useless; what's important is having enough strength yourself and having some trustworthy partners around you..."
"Instructor Gru said."
After saying that, he smiled at Roy.
A campfire was also lit near the caravan not far away.
Beside the campfire, some Half-Elf hunters, wrapped in leather, lay fast asleep under a tree, looking like silkworm cocoons rolled up in leaves...
