New Semester
On the fourth day after Roy returned to Castleton City, the Elf Academy was about to start its term.
After winning the Sculptor's Award for Emerging Artist, Ms. Belinda became very busy. Every day, she had to leave early and take a horse-drawn carriage to the Castleton Art Gallery in the city center.
Roy put on a brand new linen crew neck long-sleeved shirt and tight-fitting Lantern Pants.
Unfortunately, many young Half-Elf in Castleton City dress like this.
In contrast, the Silver Moon Elf youths' clothing appears more tasteful, but it doesn't suit Roy, as such attire would look out of place in the Lower District.
Roy and Woods agreed to meet at the entrance of the Goddess of Freedom Temple, and then Roy would take Woods in Long Carriage to the Elf Academy...
Upon arriving at the entrance of the Goddess of Freedom Temple, Roy immediately spotted Woods waiting at the door.
However, beside him, Miss Tiffany stood there gracefully, wearing an Apricot Yellow Dress, leaning against a stone pillar with her arms crossed, chatting with Woods with a smile.
Seeing Roy approach, Miss Tiffany smiled and waved to him.
"Tiffany, what brings you here?" Roy asked, puzzled.
Tiffany glanced down at her long dress, smiled demurely at Roy, and said:
"Roy, I'm planning to go with you to the Elf Academy. If the academy doesn't mind a Naga coming to study, I'd like to take a few courses here as well."
Her eyes were full of inquiry, and she stared intently at Roy, as if afraid he would disagree.
"Okay, sure!" Roy readily agreed.
Roy was surprised that Tiffany also wanted to study at the academy.
However, he had no reason to refuse this.
Woods is his friend, and so is Tiffany.
The reason he suggested Woods study at the Elf Academy was because Woods had grown up in the jungles of the Wood Elf Kingdom, and he hoped that Woods could gain a more systematic understanding of the Elf Continent.
The reason he didn't recommend Tiffany attend the Elf Academy was rather complicated.
Although Miss Tiffany can transform into an elf, it doesn't mean she can stay away from water. In fact, she has to pour water on herself every now and then to keep her skin moist.
Furthermore, the elves and the Naga fought a war for hundreds of years. Although the war ended decades ago, some barriers still exist between the elves and the Naga. A Naga Sea Clan mermaid came to study at the Elf Academy, and it is unknown what kind of discrimination she will face from the elf students.
In the end, Roy didn't expect Tiffany to stay on the Black Pearl for so long... and, judging from her plans, she intended to stay on the Black Pearl permanently.
Of course, it wouldn't be a bad thing if Tiffany could focus on her studies at the Elf Academy, as it would at least free her from her obsession with finding Abbott.
Woods' application to the Elf Academy has been accepted.
Today, besides registering at the Elf Academy, I only need to confirm a few elective courses.
Roy told Woods that the final exams for every course at the Elf Academy are very difficult, so Woods plans to only take three courses.
Tiffany needs to submit an application to the Elf Academy before she can attend...
Roy didn't know if the academy would allow a Naga Sea Clan mermaid to study there.
"Let's go, we need to go to the Cross Street Intersection to wait for the Long Carriage!"
Roy and his two friends headed toward the Cross Street Intersection of Brown Street.
At the Cross Street Intersection Brown Street, Night Blade Leopard hid under the bushes and low wall of Mrs. Winnie's house, staring at Roy he hadn't seen for more than two months, and licking his mustache repeatedly.
Roy has been busy with college applications these past few days, and hasn't had a chance to cook him a grilled fish since returning from the Pattington Plane.
Every time the cat passed by the Potion Shop, it would stare at Roy with a pitiful look until he disappeared completely.
It yawned lazily, revealing two sharp fangs.
Roy didn't have to wait long before the Long Carriage slowly approached from afar...
The bus slowly stopped at the Cross Street Intersection, right next to Castleton Harbour, where many passengers disembark every day to head to Castleton Harbour.
Roy entered the carriage, paid the fare for the three Kole trains, and then led Tiffany and Woods to the back of the carriage.
After finding an empty seat at the back of the carriage, Roy asked Miss Tiffany to sit down first.
"Why did you suddenly decide to go to college?" Roy asked Miss Tiffany.
Yesterday, he took Woods to the Black Pearl, and Tiffany didn't mention it at all. In just one night, Tiffany suddenly had the idea of studying at the Elf Academy...
Tiffany took a sip of seawater, looked out at the bustling street outside the car window, and said to Roy, "Living on the Black Pearl, all I can do is stare at the sea all day. Sometimes I can't help but think about the past. An elf friend told me that if I want to get out of this predicament, the best thing I can do is keep myself busy..."
Her profile was exquisite, and her large eyes gazed at the street scene.
Mermaids' beauty differs somewhat from that of elves.
Roy discovered that Sabrina hadn't taken the Long Carriage. He had barely seen her in the days since returning to Castleton and had no idea what she had been up to.
On the other side, Woods was also looking at the street stalls with great interest through the car window...
"Roy, let's take a look around here later."
"Sure, this area is in the Lower District of Castleton City, not far from Brown Street. We can walk back from here..."
Roy casually agreed.
The Elf Academy has ushered in a new semester once again.
The area in front of the Elf Academy's gates became bustling with activity.
Countless elf students gathered at the gate. Some elf students walked into the academy in pairs, some elf students stood in the open space at the gate chatting, and some elves huddled together and hugged each other.
The two-month holiday seemed to have given the elf students endless things to talk about.
Tiffany and Woods were both taken aback by the lively scene at the academy gate; there were so many young elves.
Upon entering the academy, both of them were overwhelmed by what they could see.
The academy lawn was meticulously trimmed, and some elves sat on it chatting.
Roy walked along the path and arrived at the lobby of Teaching Building 1. Roy pointed to the notice boards and asked Woods to choose a course that suited him.
He also had to take Miss Tiffany to the college's admissions office to submit a supplementary application.
At the admissions office, Roy and Miss Tiffany were waiting at the door...
Yesterday, the corridor was almost packed with students applying for admission, but now it's deserted.
Before Roy could even knock, he heard the elven lady inside roar, "What were you doing yesterday? Why didn't you come and submit your applications? Why wait until now? Applications have already closed. If you want to enter the Elf Academy, you'll have to wait for the new semester in July!"
The elf lady's roar startled Roy, Miss Tiffany also became somewhat nervous.
Fifteen seconds later, the elf student slunk out of the room. When he saw Roy and Miss Tiffany, he made a cautious gesture to Roy.
Roy took a deep breath and knocked on the door.
'Knock knock knock'
"Come in!" a calm voice came from inside.
Roy pushed open the door and went in first. He had brought Woods here yesterday and was very familiar with the room's layout. Roy went straight to the elf lady and said cautiously, "Teacher, I would like to submit an application for admission."
The elven lady didn't even glance at Roy, but instead looked up and sized up Miss Tiffany, asking, "Are you the one submitting your application for admission?"
Miss Tiffany nodded hastily.
"Naga Sea Clan?" The elven lady said, glancing at Miss Tiffany's dress.
Startled, Tiffany quickly took a step back before whispering, "Yes."
"Are you sure you want to study at the Elf Academy?" the Elf lady asked calmly, staring at Miss Tiffany.
"Teacher, I am a Naga Sea Clan. I wonder if I can study here?" Miss Tiffany asked nervously.
The elf lady took the application form, glanced at it, and answered decisively:
"The academy has no rules prohibiting Naga Sea Clan from enrolling, so your application... is approved."
'Click'
The stamp was affixed to the application form, which was then handed to Miss Tiffany.
Miss Tiffany only needed to submit an application form and pay tuition to attend school.
Roy discovered that he had just paid his and Woods ' tuition yesterday, and now he also had to pay Miss Tiffany's tuition...
Once these procedures were completed, Miss Tiffany became a student at the Castleton Elf Academy.
"Let's go to the lobby to choose our courses!"
Miss Tiffany eagerly pulled Roy along, heading towards the lobby of the Teaching Building.
The hall was packed with elf students.
By this time, almost all the popular courses had already been booked by students.
Roy managed to snag a geography class, and the teacher was none other than Master Harper. However, this time the lesson wasn't about the Elf Continent, but rather the entire Twin Seas.
The eastern side of the Elf Continent borders the Endless Sea, while the western coastline is the Twin Seas. There was no geography class on the Endless Sea this semester, otherwise Roy wouldn't have taken the Twin Seas Geography.
So this course is still not full...
Roy chose astrology as his second course. This course is quite special; it's a long course that runs continuously for six semesters before the graduation exam. If you interrupt your studies in any semester, retaking the course is the most troublesome part.
In other words, there is only one opportunity to take astrology as an elective course every three years.
I heard this course is exceptionally difficult, and the final graduation exam is extremely challenging, usually held at night.
The teacher randomly calls out the name of a constellation, and the students have to point out its location accurately in the shortest amount of time, and also describe how the constellation changes position throughout the year.
For his third course, Roy again chose to study Elementary Martial Arts, and the instructor was still Instructor Nora.
Roy's Elementary Martial Arts consisted of only some combo techniques; he hadn't learned anything else yet.
Roy had already made arrangements with Instructor Nora for this course well in advance...
Roy filled in his name in the reserved space and then heard a familiar voice from behind him.
"Roy, why did it take you so long? I knew you'd choose the Elementary Martial Arts Training. I've been waiting for you here for ages!" Klayr rushed up from behind, put her arm around Roy's shoulder, and said to him with a grin.
Roy immediately stood up straight and introduced Klayr to Woods and Miss Tiffany: "This is Klayr, my good friend from the Elf Academy."
"This is Miss Tiffany, and this is Woods."
Hello...
Klayr smiled warmly, extended her hand generously, shook hands with Woods, and then nodded politely to Miss Tiffany.
Roy didn't know what courses Woods was taking, so he asked Woods out of curiosity.
The Druid Boy's curriculum consisted of three subjects: ' Nature Studies ', 'Botany', and ' Ancient Elvish '...
Apart from martial arts training, Klayr has chosen music theory for all her other courses. This semester, Klayr and Roy are also taking martial arts training together.
Soon, Tiffany also chose the courses she wanted to learn: ' Oceanic Climate ', 'Opera', and ' Water Magic Class ' were all subjects that Miss Tiffany usually enjoyed.
Two months later, Roy and Klayr meet again...
Klayr is as enthusiastic as ever!
As a prominent figure in the academy, Klayr was often greeted by Silver Moon Elf, who would respond to him familiarly while he chatted with Roy...
After deciding on the courses they would be taking, the four of them went to the small market on the Back Street of the college to find books.
Looking at Woods and Tiffany, who seemed curious about everything, Klayr chuckled and said:
"I never expected our little group to double in size this year."
For the next period of time, Roy spent every day traveling back and forth between his home, the Goddess of Freedom Temple, and the Elf Academy.
Klayr was busy learning new knowledge every day, and she became more and more familiar with Woods and Tiffany. During this time, Roy also took the time to treat Mrs. Winnie's family to three meals of Night Blade Leopard grilled fish.
He not only wrote a long letter to Xavier, the Dark Moon Elf, detailing the recent situation in Castleton City.
I also took some time to visit Ellington Castle and tell Countess Amelia about what happened in the Pattington Plane.
Upon hearing Roy recount the actions of the Silvermoon Elven Nobles in the Pattington Plane, Countess Amelia remained silent for a long time...
A month into the new semester, there has still been no word from Woods ' elders.
During this period, shocking news came from the Pattington Plane:
A Half-Elf Rebel Army has emerged in the Pattington Plane, officially declaring its secession from the Silver Moon Elf Kingdom. The Resistance Army has gathered 20,000 Half-Elf, preparing to attack the Padesto City.
But just three days later, new news came out that the Half-Elf Rebel Army in the Pattington Plane had failed to capture the portal. After the Silver Moon Elf army entered the Pattington Plane, it only took them three days to defeat the Rebel Army.
When the news arrived, the Half-Elf Rebel Army had already fled into the depths of the jungle.
