A group of Silver Moon Elf students surrounded the merchant Santos at the academy gate. As more and more elf students came out of the academy, the number of onlookers grew. Merchant Santos could only protect his chest with his hands and keep backing away in the pushing and shoving.

The burly coachman stood in front of the merchant Santos, his sleeves torn by the raging elven students.

The coachman clenched his fists, wanting to retaliate, but there were simply too many elven students around him, and countless hands reached out to grab him, giving him no chance to make a move...

Someone secretly kicked him, leaving his leather pants covered in footprints.

The coachman let out a muffled groan of pain as an elven student punched him in the ribs, making him feel as if his stomach and intestines were being twisted together, causing him to gasp for breath in pain.

Even the merchant Santos, who was hiding behind him, was repeatedly smuggled in.

The coachman could only protect the merchant Santos as they retreated, finally scrambling back to the carriage in a sorry state. Santos had been beaten so badly by the elven students that his nose was bleeding profusely, and his noble clothes were covered in footprints. Even sitting on the sofa in the carriage, he was still wincing in pain.

The coachman blocked the carriage door...

The elf students continued to pound on the carriage with their hands, but they did not break the windows; they were merely venting their anger.

The coachman practically climbed onto the driver's seat, then cracked the whip, slowly moving the carriage away from the elven students...

The coachman also saw several instructors from the academy trying to quell the chaos. The students didn't chase after them, which relieved him slightly.

He glanced at the students behind him out of the corner of his eye, completely baffled as to why the Boss would provoke them for no reason...

In fact, Santos, the Silvermoon Elf Merchants sitting in the carriage, was also extremely confused. He suddenly felt that he was getting old and could no longer understand the elves in this city.

He had assumed that the Half-Elf living in the Lower District were just a bunch of poor, down-on-their-luck people. He hired an elven assassin to take care of the young man, but the elven assassin not only failed to complete the mission, but also got himself killed.

Thinking of this, the merchant Santos couldn't help but look back again; many elven students were still standing at the academy gate...

That seemingly unremarkable young Silver Moon Elf was actually the youngest musician in Castleton City. His coachman had only pushed him, yet he was ganged up on and beaten by a group of elven students.

Fortunately, they escaped the danger zone.

The merchant Santos picked up his water glass and took a big gulp.

At this moment, he remembered that his purpose in coming here was simply to persuade the Half-Elf -Half-Elf to drop the charges against him, or at the very least, to write a letter of forgiveness. But not only had he failed to do so, he had also almost been beaten up...

The businessman Santos's attempt to persuade Roy was a complete failure.

Unable to persuade Roy to drop the charges, businessman Santos will attend a trial next week, which will significantly damage his business reputation if he is convicted.

Who would want to work with a businessman with a criminal record?

The merchant Santos felt that he must not back down at this time. He sat in his carriage, thinking about the friends he usually made, but after thinking it over, he found that there was none he could trust.

He opened a drawer in the car, inside which was a letter of invitation. He hadn't thought of using this connection before, but he felt the cost was too high and he was reluctant to give it up. Some favors, once used, cannot be used again.

But now there were no elves who could help him, so the merchant Santos had no choice but to ask this important figure for help.

Ask him to put pressure on the court from above, and perhaps the court will drop the charges against him.

Thinking of this, the merchant Santos immediately moved a mirror in front of him. Looking at his disheveled appearance, he realized that it was not appropriate to visit this important figure. He could only go home and change his clothes before making the visit.

Ms. Edith had just reached the academy gate when she saw an Elf Merchants with a full head of silver curly hair scrambling into a carriage. His flustered appearance made him look like a rat crossing the street.

The angry elven students around were still banging on the car window, demanding that the Elf Merchants get out of the car and apologize.

Unfortunately, the Elf Merchants had no such intention, and the carriage could only move forward slowly, surrounded by elven students.

Several instructors from the academy noticed the chaos at the entrance and immediately ran out to maintain order. After confirming that no students were injured, except for one student who had been pushed, they stopped the angry elf students and allowed the carriage to merge into the traffic on the street.

Ms. Edith wasn't in the mood for the heat, but her best friend Miss Phyllis, standing beside her, was very curious. She beckoned over three Silver Moon Elf girls and asked them the reason for the matter.

After the three elven girls explained the situation, Ms. Edith finally understood that an Elf Merchants had caused trouble at the academy gate, pushed Wagner Klayr, and angered his followers.

"So it was Wagner!" Phyllis whispered, gently covering her mouth with a handkerchief.

Klayr's fame in the academy has surpassed that of Ms. Edith. Her outstanding musical talent has made Klayr a new star in the Elf Academy. At a time like this, how could Elf Merchants still dare to provoke him? He really has no sense of propriety.

Speaking of which, Ms. Edith and Miss Phyllis have been seeing Klayr at the recent balls, but Roy has been attending very few balls lately.

"Didn't the Elf Merchants say why?" Miss Phyllis asked next.

"It's kind of funny..." one of the three Silver Moon Elf girls replied with a laugh, "I heard that the Elf Merchants hired someone to kill someone, but not only did the other party catch the assassin, they also sent both the assassin and the Elf Merchants to the court. It seems that the merchant came to the academy gate this time because of this matter!"

"How could such a thing happen in Castleton City?" Miss Phyllis exclaimed in surprise, patting her chest.

"Not only that, the person the Elf Merchants wanted to kill happened to be Wagner Klayr. Wagner Klayr stood up to defend his friend, which is why he was pushed down by the merchant's henchman," the Silver Moon Elf girl recounted vividly.

"Klayr's friend? Could it be Roy?" Miss Phyllis said to Ms. Edith with a smile.

"It's that guy named Roy. He always drags Klayr away and does some weird things that are hard to understand!" the Silver Moon Elf girl complained. She seemed to be an elf who liked music.

Ms. Edith was somewhat surprised; she wanted to know how Roy had come to be at odds with the Elf Merchants.

However, it seemed that the Silver Moon Elf girls didn't quite understand either, so she didn't bother to ask. She just silently glanced at the departing carriage.

Just as Ms. Edith boarded the train, she saw Roy and Klayr chatting and laughing as they crossed the long street, seemingly heading to the library across the street.

"I heard that Roy recently formed an Adventure Group and has already completed a very good adventure."

Miss Phyllis added from behind.

"Has Princess Ophelia not contacted him again?" Ms. Edith asked casually.

"No, but I always felt that Princess Ophelia was somewhat special to him. Every time she met Roy, she would stop and chat for a bit," Miss Phyllis said.

Ms. Edith turned her head to look out the window, her gaze sweeping over the Hibiscus Tree lining the street...

Neither of them said anything more.

The carriage stopped in front of the Duke Wellington's enormous treehouse. The merchant Santos stepped out of the carriage and looked up at the towering ancient tree before him, an umbrella-shaped tree that occupied almost an acre of the surrounding area.

There were almost no other Elven Nobles in the nearby woods, and this great tree occupied the highest point on the southern slope. It was said that the treehouse inside the tree was built as luxuriously as a palace.

This place is known as Wellington Manor. There is a clean wooden staircase at the entrance, with some pools and flower beds on both sides.

Several Silver Moon Elf maidens were pruning the flowers and plants in the flower bed.

Merchant Santos straightened his collar, took a deep breath, and walked toward the chatting and laughing elven maids.

"Is Norton.Boris, the butler, here?" the businessman Santos asked with a smile and great elegance.

"Are you looking for Boris Butler?" The elven maid stopped what she was doing and turned to ask the merchant Santos.

The merchant Santos quickly handed over the letter of visit and said to the elven maid, "Please pass this on to Boris Butler!"

The elven maidservant took the letter of visit, glanced at the merchant Santos, and then turned and went into the treehouse.

Merchant Santos waited patiently outside. Soon, an elven maid came out of the treehouse, beckoned to Santos, and led him to a flower bed next to a pool with a spring flowing down from it. The pools were like steps, with clear spring water meandering over them...

"Please sit here for a while. Boris Butler is currently unavailable and may have to wait a bit."

The elven maid left after she finished speaking.

The merchant Santos could only sit on a bench by the pool, looking at the delicate flowers around him. Through the gaps in the trees, he could see Castleton Harbour in the distance, with its blue sea and sky, which was quite refreshing.

Two hours passed, and the merchant Santos, who had been dozing off on a bench, was awakened by a series of footsteps.

When he opened his eyes, he saw two light-footed figures stepping into the Wellington Manor.

Ms. Edith and Miss Phyllis walked into the Wellington Manor together. After the door closed, Ms. Edith walked to a spiral staircase and looked at the Elf Merchants in the flower bed through a glass window.

Miss Phyllis leaned closer, glanced at the Elf Merchants Elf Merchants, and immediately recognized him as the one she had seen at the academy gate at noon.

"How did he get here?" Miss Phyllis asked, somewhat surprised.

"How would I know? I don't know him," Ms. Edith retorted, then asked an elven maid at the door, "Who is that Elf Merchants outside looking for?"

"We've come to visit Boris Butler," said the elven maid.

Ms. Edith then led her best friend up the spiral staircase into the castle-like treehouse.

Roy spent the entire afternoon in the library. He was going to a dance with Klayr that evening, so he wasn't in a hurry to go home.

For a young elf like him, wearing a set of Magic Inscription Construct to a ball wouldn't be considered impolite. However, Roy's Petrification Lizard Thick Leather Armor was clearly worn. Although it had been maintained once, the leather in many places was worn to varying degrees.

Moreover, it's the height of summer now, so wearing Thick Leather Armor certainly wouldn't be very comfortable.

"Roy, I've prepared a formal suit for you. It's much more comfortable than wearing that Thick Leather Armor armor set," Klayr said softly, sitting opposite Roy.

"I think wearing the Magic Inscription Construct is great too, at least I can skip two dances," Roy replied with a smile.

"Don't worry, I've already spoken to Beryl, she shouldn't push her best friend to our side again!" Klayr said, taking out a neatly folded stack of dresses from her Magic Pouch and pushing them in front of Roy.

Roy did not refuse.

He and Klayr were about the same size, except Klayr's waist was a little smaller Roy's, that's all.

Roy picked up the dress, walked into a quiet corner of the library's rest area, and quickly changed into the silver dress, instantly looking very elegant.

Back in the library's preview room, Klayr nodded repeatedly and said to Roy, "This dress doesn't have any embellishments, but I didn't expect it to suit you so well."

"We're going to the ball later. You'll have to come with me. I'll find a chance to introduce you to someone," Klayr said to Roy as she closed her book.

"Okay, I'll follow your arrangements," Roy agreed.

His real reason for accompanying Klayr to the ball was to find a recommender so he could join the Magic Herb Merchant Guild.

Seeing that it was almost time, Klayr and Roy returned the books and left the library.

The two boarded a carriage and headed towards a manor outside the city.

The businessman Santos sat on the bench by the pool for the entire afternoon, and Boris Butler still hadn't come out.

He placed the empty cup on the bench, stood up and walked around the bench once. Once his legs were no longer numb, he sat down again.

"Santos, it really is you! What brings you here to find me?"

A voice rang out by the pool. Boris Butler, hurried out of the mansion and muttered a complaint to the merchant Santos.

"Boris, I'm in trouble. I have a trial next weekend, and I'm here hoping you can help me out. You know I'm a businessman, and a trial would seriously damage my reputation," said businessman Santos as he approached.

"A court hearing? What did you do to get the Elven Guard watching you?"

"Boris Butler asked in a low voice."
