373 Killing Scene
A squad of fully armed Half-Elf Warrior charged into the dark mine...
Two Carbide Lamp hung on the rock wall, emitting a dim light.
A group of Gray Dwarf gathered around a flat rock, shouting and watching two strong Gray Dwarf Gray Dwarf wrestle. The two dwarves' faces were flushed red, the veins on their necks were bulging, and the muscles on their arms were bulging, as they tried desperately to pin each other to the rock.
Some Gray Dwarf were lazily dozing against the rock wall when one Gray Dwarf lying at the very edge of the mine was suddenly jolted awake. He vaguely heard the 'crunching' sound of metal armor rubbing together, mixed with the sound of messy footsteps, which woke him from his sweet dream.
His eyes widened like copper bells, and he sat up abruptly, bracing himself against the cold stone wall.
The footsteps grew louder and clearer as they approached, and he immediately realized something was wrong...
He quickly woke up his sleeping companion beside him.
"Wake up, something seems wrong..." he said to his companion in Dwarvish.
After being shaken awake, his companion was still a little dizzy. He grabbed the Gray Dwarf by the neck with both hands and cursed, "You fucking want to die, don't you?"
Caught off guard, the Gray Dwarf was tackled to the ground by his companion, and the two then began to wrestle.
When the footsteps coming from the mine woke all the Gray Dwarf, the Half-Elf Warrior had already rushed out of the mine.
The Gray Dwarf in the mine immediately started shouting and grabbed weapons from the corners of the mine, trying to trap the fully armed Elf Warrior inside.
The Gray Dwarf carried heavy weapons like pickaxes and Stone Hammer, while the Half-Elf Warrior wielded Elf Long Sword. Although not the finely crafted standard weapons of the Silver Pegasus Legion, they were still excellent weapons. As the Half-Elf Warrior blocked the Stone Hammer and pickaxes with their shields, their longswords pierced along the edges of the shields, leaving wounds on the Gray Dwarf.
The Half-Elf Warrior underestimated the strength of the Gray Dwarf. They all wielded their shields with their left arms, and when the Stone Hammer came down, the shields were immediately dented.
The Half-Elf Warrior at the very front were forced to take two steps back...
Even with holes pierced by the elves' longswords, the Gray Dwarf, with sheer brute force, managed to lift their Stone Hammer and launch a fierce attack on the Half-Elf. These Gray Dwarf fought as fiercely as the Northern Earth Tyrant Bear.
Just then, one of the Half-Elf Warrior suddenly shouted, "Release!"
The Half-Elf Warrior standing in the front row withdrew their shields and twisted their bodies, suddenly making way for half a body length. Fletched Arrow carrying white streams of air flew out and hit the Gray Dwarf charging in front.
The Fletched Arrow were extremely sharp, and these Gray Dwarf Bandit were almost all shirtless, without even a layer of leather armor on their bodies.
A group of Gray Dwarf screamed in agony. As they charged forward, the Half-Elf Warrior in the front row raised their Iris Shield again and swung them forward with all their might.
"Bang bang bang..."
A series of muffled thuds followed as Half-Elf Warrior was struck down by Gray Dwarf's Stone Hammer.
But behind these Half-Elf Warrior wielding shields stood a row of Elf Warrior holding spears.
The Gray Dwarf' attack was too fierce, and they couldn't stop at all. The Gray Dwarf in front were pushed onto the spearheads by the Gray Dwarf behind them, and a series of painful screams erupted.
Roy was also standing in the ranks of the Half-Elf Warrior wielding spears. He saw a Gray Dwarf leap high into the air, his pickaxe raised above his head, about to strike a Half-Elf on the shoulder. Then he opened the Hammer of Judgment Book, and a Hammer of Judgment flew out from Hammer of Judgment Book, striking the Gray Dwarf squarely in the chest.
He immediately smashed the Gray Dwarf to the ground...
Although the Gray Dwarf possessed brute strength, once the Gray Dwarf at the front were all pierced to the ground by spears, the fully armed Half-Elf once again formed a shield wall. Fletched Arrow flew from the rear of the column through the dim cave, and the second row of Gray Dwarf was immediately riddled with Fletched Arrow.
As the Half-Elf Warrior rested his spear on his shield, he advanced once more.
Although the Half-Elf were far weaker than the Gray Dwarf, they managed to withstand the Gray Dwarf ' attacks thanks to their armor.
The Gray Dwarf' strong bodies could withstand Fletched Arrow, but they couldn't stop longswords and spears...
In two charges, more than a dozen Gray Dwarf fell to the ground, and several Fletched Arrow were stuck in the bodies Gray Dwarf the others. Seeing the Half-Elf emerging from the Mine Road in an endless stream, the last bit of courage in the Gray Dwarf' hearts disappeared.
All the Gray Dwarf in the cave retreated continuously amidst the rain of arrows...
They tried to escape into the mine behind them, Half-Elf Warrior surged into the mine, relentlessly closing in on the Gray Dwarf.
Then the Gray Dwarf dropped their weapons and turned to flee into the mine.
Instead of blindly chasing after them, the Half-Elf warriors split into small teams and entered the mine in an orderly fashion.
As for the twenty-odd injured and fallen Gray Dwarf inside the mine, as long as they were still alive, the Half-Elf would first tie them up and then bandage their wounds.
These Gray Dwarf are quite powerful, but they lack armor.
Even if they are only wearing a thin layer of light armor, it is still unknown which way the Scales of Victory will tip in this battle.
The wounded Half-Elf Warrior remained in the cave, following the other warrior squad as they dealt with the Gray Dwarf prisoners in the mine.
Roy took a look and found that the arms of four Half-Elf had been broken off by the Gray Dwarf with Stone Hammer.
Roy left them in the mine while he joined the other Half-Elf Warrior to hunt down the other escaped Gray Dwarf.
This time, the Dark Moon Elves learned from their battle with the Gray Dwarf Bandit; they knew that if the Gray Dwarf couldn't win, they would run away.
The Dark Moon Elf couldn't stop the Gray Dwarf as they scurried in and out of the mines.
Once they've squeezed into a small cave, the Dark Moon Elf have no way to deal with these Gray Dwarf.
So they simply avoided direct confrontation with these Gray Dwarf.
The Dark Moon Elf Warrior abandoned the main battle and scattered at several key entrances to the mine, planning to stab the fleeing Gray Dwarf in the back.
Deep within the mine, in a dimly lit corner, a Dark Moon Elf Warrior gripped a sharp dagger, hiding behind a rock.
His body blended into the rock. The Mine Road was extremely dark, and he was standing in a blind spot.
This Dark Moon Elf Warrior was one of the ten Darkmoon Warriors Roy had brought from the Second Mine. He silently adjusted his breathing, hearing the shouts of battle coming from the cave not far away, and tried his best to suppress the urge to rush out, quietly waiting for the Gray Dwarf to come to him.
Sure enough, amidst the shouts of battle, screams of agony echoed through the mine, and the calls of Gray Dwarf continued to emanate from within. He knew then that his chance had come...
Before long, they saw a Gray Dwarf running towards them. Although the mine was very dark, the Dark Moon Elf could still distinguish the Gray Dwarf in the pitch-black environment.
His hand holding the dagger was trembling.
Just as the Gray Dwarf swept past him, the Dark Moon Elf seized the opportunity to extend his arm, his dagger piercing precisely into the Gray Dwarf's chest. The Dark Moon Elf Warrior swiftly pulled the dagger out, not even glancing at the fallen Gray Dwarf behind him, and disappeared back into the dark mine.
The Gray Dwarf who followed behind only saw their companions suddenly fall forward; they didn't even manage to touch the Dark Moon Elf.
He immediately stopped, squatted down, patted his fallen companion's shoulder, and called out to him twice. Seeing that his body was convulsing and unresponsive, he mustered his courage and turned his companion over. He saw that his breathing was weak, and a bloody hole in his chest was gushing blood. The cave floor was stained with a large patch of blood.
At that moment, he was so frightened that the hairs on his body stood on end, and his pupils suddenly contracted.
A dagger emerged from behind his neck, and as the fading arm flashed before his eyes, the Gray Dwarf felt a sharp pain in his throat, followed by a gush of warm blood gushing from his neck.
He was so horrified that he covered his throat with his hand, but in his panic, he couldn't stop the bleeding.
He choked on some blood, making it impossible for him to breathe.
He felt his heart pounding, but his body felt so weak that he couldn't even shout.
He was kicked from behind and fell onto his companion...
Two seconds later, another Gray Dwarf ran to the mine entrance. Seeing his two companions lying in a pool of blood, he stopped abruptly, looked around warily, waved his pickaxe wildly beside him, and roared in Elvish with a fierce but Elven Language, "Hey, kid, dare to come out and fight me!"
The Dark Moon Elf was crouching right next to the Gray Dwarf. If the Gray Dwarf had moved his left leg half a step to the left at that moment, he could have kicked the Darkmoon Elf in the face.
But the Dark Moon Elf just squatted there motionless, not even glancing at him.
Unable to find the murderer of his companion, the Gray Dwarf dared not linger at the cave entrance. Seeing another Gray Dwarf running up behind him, he put down his pickaxe, greeted him, and warned him, "Be careful, a Dark Moon Elf Gray Dwarf hiding here..."
Before the Gray Dwarf could finish speaking, he saw his companion staring wide-eyed at something behind him, his eyes conveying astonishment and fear...
The Gray Dwarf immediately realized that something was wrong. He didn't dare to turn around, and silently swung his pickaxe backward while crouching down.
Unfortunately, he still felt a chill on the back of his neck, and then he collapsed in the mine.
The Dark Moon Elf Warrior gracefully bowed to the Gray Dwarf who had just arrived.
He took two steps back, and right before the other's eyes, he transformed into a faint Black Mist, instantly merging into the darkness.
