Yesterday, Roy asked Sabrina if Jefferson had any friends in Castleton City, and to his surprise, he ran into one this morning.

Roy wasn't in a hurry to make contact with the Dark Moon Elf. Since this guy had already come all this way, there was no reason for him to reveal his identity immediately.

A Long Carriage approached from afar, and the elves waiting at the street corner boarded it. Roy then rode the carriage to the Elf Academy.

Roy walked into the lecture hall carrying his history book. The members of Sixteenth Group, who had arrived earlier and taken their seats, waved to Roy. The members who arrived earlier were all Silver Moon Elf girls, young and beautiful, with aristocratic poise, and sweet smiles.

They were probably worried that Roy wouldn't remember their names.

As Roy approached, several Silver Moon Elf girls stood up and announced their names one by one, "Maritis."

"Matilda".

"Luo Lin..."

Roy quickly stood in the aisle and politely greeted the Silver Moon Elf: "My name is Roy."

The silver-haired elf named Matilda chuckled and joked, "Having been called on twice by Teacher Ophelia in class, I reckon there's no elf in this classroom who doesn't know you."

Of these elven girls, she stood out with her poise and confidence, looking directly at Roy with obvious curiosity. "Roy, how are you doing with the homework that Teacher Ophelia assigned?"

Roy said, "I found two books about the Battle of the Empress Islands, both written from the perspective of Elf Warrior. One of them tells the story of the Silver Moon Kingdom's Sixth Legion's garrison on Empress Ivini Main Island for one year and six months..."

When discussing historical events, the awkwardness from before disappeared.

These elven girls weren't interested in the details of the war in the Empress Islands, nor did they bother to learn about it. Instead, they conducted a very detailed investigation into the culture, politics, and historical context of the time, and took notes on all of them.

Soon after, the other members of the group arrived one after another. They greeted each other, had a brief discussion, and assigned each other some tasks. Roy's task was simple: to describe the process of attacking the main island of the Empress Islands.

As the school bell rang...

Princess Oliphia, dressed in a plain long dress and carrying books, walked in from outside. Her long silver hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, and a gold hairpin was tucked behind her ear. She immediately silenced the entire classroom.

A faint smile graced her bright face as she surveyed the lecture hall before speaking, "Everyone, how's everyone's preparation going? I certainly don't want... the group I've chosen to go on stage to find none of its members able to utter a single word..."

Princess Ophelia's voice was soft, as clear as a mountain stream, giving Roy a tinkling, melodious feeling.

"I made forty cards. Whichever historical event you draw, the corresponding research team will come up and tell you about it."

Princess Ophelia seemed to find this amusing as well. With a faint smile, she unfolded a stack of cards in her hand, took one out, flipped it over to look at the historical event, and then said, "In this lesson, we will discuss 'The New Alliance Signed Between the Silver Moon Kingdom and the Grimm Empire in 1362'."

The members of Sixteenth Group, sitting in a row, listened nervously as Princess Ophelia announced the topics they had drawn. When they heard the year, everyone, including Roy, breathed a sigh of relief. Thankfully, the first class wasn't for them.

The lecture hall was completely silent. The ten elven students sitting in the third row stood up one after another. They were dressed in decent robes and each carried a Parchment Scroll. They were a little nervous, but also excited and thrilled. They encouraged each other and then walked up to the podium in a line.

Princess Ophelia relinquished the podium and stood alone by the window, quietly listening to the students' stories...

The elf students were well-prepared, and each of them recounted a part of what happened.

For Princess Ophelia, the alliance signed forty-three years ago in the Buenos Capital the Silver Moon Elf King and Prince James of the Grimm Empire was something she had personally experienced from beginning to end, but the entire Buenos City was celebrating as if it were a festival.

Princess Jona Ophelia watched as her sister Princess Manda Ophelia, arm in arm with Prince James, boarded a magnificent carriage. Their entourage traveled eastward to Castleton Harbour, then joined the fleet on their return to the Grimm Empire on the Roland Continent. The last time she received a letter from her sister was thirteen years ago, in which she learned that Manda had given birth to two lovely little princesses...

She came to Castleton Harbour, where Manda and James had once stayed, and never left.

Princess Ophelia came to her senses from that past event and found that the elven students on the podium had already reached the end of their lecture.

After the elven students finished speaking, exactly half a class period had passed. Princess Ophelia slowly walked to the podium, nodded to the ten students, indicating they could return to their seats, and then smiled and said, "Not bad, this part..."

The bright sunlight shone through the window onto Princess Ophelia's beautiful and serene face.

Since the previous ten students had already given their introductions, everyone had a basic understanding of that period of history. When Princess Ophelia spoke again, all the students immediately felt a strong sense of déjà vu, as if they had returned to that era of frequent naval battles with the Naga Sea Clan of the Endless Sea ...

Although only one lesson has been taught so far, Princess Ophelia knows that the lesson was a great success, and that the way it was presented made the otherwise dull history class interesting, at least making the students more proactive.

After spending an afternoon learning divine magic in the temple, Roy discovered that he had mastered the ' Minor Healing ' rune, though he was still somewhat unskilled with it...

Roy didn't go with Jasper and Abbott to repair the Black Pearl today.

Jasper hired a carpenter on Brown Street to rebuild the ladder on the ship, as the one he and Abbott made had fallen apart after only a few uses.

He also plans to do some simple repairs on the windows and doors that were damaged in the Ship Building.

Since it was impossible to invite the carpenter onto the ship, the only option was to dismantle the doors and windows, lower them down with ropes, and take them to the carpenter's workshop for repair.

Roy needed to prepare for the battle in the arena, so he went home after leaving the temple.

The irises along the street were in bloom, like a blue ribbon. Just as I reached my doorstep, I saw the Dark Moon Elf standing by the wall across the street.

Roy stopped and turned to look at the Elf Ranger.

The Dark Moon Elf slowly walked over, stood in front of Roy, stared at his face for a long while, and then asked, "You are Roy?"

Roy nodded and stood at the door without inviting him into the yard to sit down.

"Hmm, what do you want to know?"

The Dark Moon Elf's eyes narrowed slightly, resembling Night Blade Leopard poised to pounce, its gaze sharp and menacing...

However, the tone then softened, as if it were a silent warning to Roy.

"Jefferson, I want to know how he died!"

Roy turned to look at the street corner; at this time, most of the Elf Ranger had gone home.

"Didn't you go to the tavern to investigate this morning? They should have told you what happened there," Roy said.

The Dark Moon Elf leaned against the wall and asked Roy, "I want to know about the human sailors who killed him..."

"Tell me what you can offer me in return. I can't just give you this information for free!" Roy asked without any fear.

The Dark Moon Elf hadn't expected his earlier threat to have no effect on the human before him. He leaned closer, almost whispering in Roy's ear, "Aren't you afraid of me?"

Roy took a step back, his back pressed against the courtyard gate, but he stared into the Dark Moon Elf's black eyes and said without backing down:

"A Dark Moon Elf with an unknown identity, dressed as a ranger, comes to Brown Street and openly investigates Jefferson's death. Do you think no one will notice you?"

"... Besides, you just want to get some information from me about those sailors. Why should I be afraid of you?"

The Dark Moon Elf hesitated for a moment, touched the money pouch under his belt, and said in a deep voice, "I can give you twenty Kole."

His voice was a little cold.

Fortunately, his hand wasn't on the dagger.

Roy wasn't so nervous anymore. He whispered quickly, "Don't think I don't know how much it costs to sell information in the tavern. It's a flat rate... fifty Kole, and I can also throw in an extra piece of information."

The Dark Moon Elf clearly didn't want to stand there any longer. He bent down, pulled a stack of Kole tucks from his pocket, and stuffed them into Roy's hand, barely suppressing his anger as he said, "You'd better say something that will make me think it's useful."

Roy was just casually making a price offer, but he didn't expect the Dark Moon Elf to not even try to negotiate...

So he stood at the courtyard gate and said to the Dark Moon Elf, "I'm just a guide, and I don't know those sailors well. I remember... they got into a fight in the tavern, and you probably know what happened after that. Do you want to find those sailors... to avenge Jefferson?"

The Dark Moon Elf ignored Roy and turned to walk towards the street corner.

Roy quickly caught up with him and continued, "I heard that Jefferson investigated the Goddess of Freedom Temple a few days before his death..."

The Dark Moon Elf still didn't turn around, showing no intention of paying any more attention to Roy.

Roy continued chasing after him, saying:

"If you want revenge for Jefferson, I can provide those sailors' portraits; I remember what they look like!"

The Dark Moon Elf didn't stop, but said somewhat impatiently, "Shut up. If I need anything... I'll come back to you!"

Roy stood at his doorstep, watching the Dark Moon Elf walk away.

This Dark Moon Elf didn't know Jefferson at all, and seemed quite young.

Aside from being a little short-tempered, he's quite law-abiding.

A total newbie...
