Roy put away his flail and walked over to the Gray Dwarf Doyle. Looking at Doyle's flushed face, he knew Gray Dwarves were unlike the hot-tempered yet straightforward dwarves. They were greedy, cunning, and highly aggressive.
They had come from the north intending to seize land from the elves. Once they gained a foothold here, more Gray Dwarves would flood in from the north...
Roy had not wanted to continue speaking with this Gray Dwarf. Communication between them was inconvenient enough as it was.
However, Jerome told Roy that this Gray Dwarf named Doyle wanted to trade a treasure for the lives of every Gray Dwarf on Kui Island. After considering it, Roy ultimately decided to give him a chance.
Wearing Magic Inscription Construct armor and surrounded by a group of Half-Elf guards, Roy walked up to Doyle.
The Gray Dwarf was tied to a tree trunk, his hands and feet bound in shackles forged from refined iron. Ordinary ropes could not restrain a Gray Dwarf Warrior like him.
He was as strong as a bull, clad in heavy armor, yet he ran as lightly as if he wore nothing at all...
Roy stared at Doyle's red face and said bluntly:
"How do you want to make this deal? I don't want to lie to you either. There is no way I will let the Gray Dwarves on Kui Island leave. No matter what terms you offer, I won't release you."
A trace of despair appeared in Doyle's eyes. He stared at Roy and shouted, "The treasure I told you about is absolutely enough to buy the lives of every Gray Dwarf on the island. We'll consider it paying to ransom ourselves."
"The last time I drove you out of the Empress Ivini Islands, you said you would never come
