The Deputy Inquisitor of the Castleton Tribunal entered the room accompanied by Baron Alvis.
The other Silver Moon Elf nobles and two clerks all rose to their feet.
Everyone sat down together.
The Deputy Inquisitor was an elderly Silver Moon Elf, dressed in an inquisitor's robes and looking quite imposing.
The Deputy Inquisitor gave Roy a deep look, then gestured for Baron Alvis to begin the questioning.
Before the trial, there would be a series of interrogations.
Once a trial date had been set, it meant the accused was already considered guilty.
Eight pairs of eyes in the room stared at Roy. Baron Alvis wore a confident expression as he eagerly took out a parchment notebook. He then produced a pen, arranged everything neatly, and only then said to Roy:
"Boss Roy, we invited you here because you violated the Silver Moon Elf Kingdom's security regulations."
Seeing Roy remain silent, he continued:
"First, your crew carried bows and arrows. Under the Silver Moon Elf Kingdom's security laws, ordinary elves are not permitted to gather and use bow-type weapons."
Roy still made no response, so he went on:
"Furthermore, your crew engaged in a brawl at the docks. As we understand it, your crew even shot and killed several Empire Crew members, forcing this Imperial Merchant to leave Castleton Harbour in haste."
Baron Alvis paused here.
Perhaps he was about to inform Roy that all that remained was to await the trial...
Unexpectedly, Roy spoke at that moment.
"What I want to say is that those Imperial Merchants used my name to deceive Half-Elves onto their merchant ship."
"Those Imperial Merchants told the Half-Elves they would be sent to my island, but in truth, not a single merchant ship did so. That is why I came back this time—to deal with
