Background / History

Elysia was found as a pink-haired child beneath the tallest tree in a border town and was taken to an orphanage beside a church. A year later, inspired by a fairy tale about a journey toward Elysium, she chose the name Elysia for herself. She eventually left the town to seek the world beyond it and pursue her own vision of Elysium. 577

Her travels exposed her to both kindness and cruelty, but did not diminish her love for humanity. She later resolved to create her own paradise, Eternal Elysium, and became a central figure among Moth Chasing Fire’s heroes. Her relationships with Mobius, Eden, Vill-V, Sakura, Kalpas, Kosma, Griseo, Kevin, and the others made her the thread connecting the Flame-Chasers. 577 578

Within the Elysian Realm narrative, Elysia promoted the name Thirteen Flame-Chasers for the thirteen warriors who survived the Binding tragedy. Her reasoning was pragmatic: if even the surviving heroes could not unite against Honkai, humanity would have no future. 468

Elysia concealed that she had been born a Herrscher. Unlike the Previous Era’s other Herrschers, she was never tempted by Honkai and chose to fight for humanity.
