"Were you just about to use the Stinging Jinx?" Snape asked coldly, looking down at him.

"No, no." Harry answered with a trace of resentment as he climbed to his feet.

"So I thought." Snape said disdainfully. "You let me get in too deep. You lost control."

"You—you saw it all?" Harry did not know whether he wanted to hear the answer.

"Fragments." Snape curled his lip. "Whose dog was that?"

"Aunt Marge's," Harry said quietly, already hating Snape with all his heart.

"Still, for a first time, it was not too bad." Snape raised his wand again. "You finally stopped me, although you wasted time and energy shouting and carrying on. This time, you must concentrate. Resist me with your mind. You will not need your wand."

"I'll try!" Harry said angrily. "But you haven't told me how!"

"Courtesy, Potter, courtesy." Snape said viciously. "I thought Tierra had already taught you some of the basics."

"Tierra only threw a book at me." Harry said dejectedly.

"Heh." Snape gave a low, mocking laugh. "It seems Mr. Potter is not a student who likes reading."

Harry said nothing.

"Now, I want you to close your eyes," Snape said after finishing his mockery.

Harry shot him a fierce glare before doing as he was told.

He did not like standing there with his eyes closed, especially while Snape stood in front of him with his wand in hand.

"Clear your mind, Potter," Snape said in a cold voice. "Cast aside all emotion."

But his anger at Snape still surged through his veins like venom. Cast aside his anger?
