"Your life is running out, Mr. Aragog," Tierra said bluntly. "Hagrid brought you several jars of Elixir of Life some time ago, but you and I both know that while they bought you a little more time, they're only a drop in the bucket given your current condition."
"What are you trying to say?" Aragog asked, a trace of anger in his voice.
"I'd like to propose a deal," Tierra said.
"I, Aragog, accept no deals from anyone but Hagrid! Get out of my territory!" Aragog snarled angrily, but his weak, feeble voice made the threat sound ridiculous and tragic.
"The terms are simple." Ignoring Aragog's threat, Tierra continued, "I will grant you eternal life and eternal youth. In return, you and your offspring must leave with me for another planet. The Forbidden Forest has reached its limit; it can no longer support your species reproducing any further."
"So I invite you to another planet, where there are vast, boundless lands and nearly inexhaustible food and production resources." Tierra smiled. "There, you will no longer be bound by any oath. You may hunt whatever food you like to your heart's content."
"Does Hagrid know?" Aragog asked.
"Hagrid agreed," Tierra replied immediately. "Of course, he'll miss you terribly, but if it means you can keep living, he can only endure the pain of not being able to see you whenever he wishes."
"Will I still have a chance to see Hagrid again?" Aragog asked.
"Of course." Tierra smiled. "Hagrid's goal is to prolong your life, while mine is to remove you from the Forbidden Forest's ecosystem. Neither of those goals involves separating you and Hagrid forever. Your separation is merely an unfortunate byproduct of those two goals."
