Ye Lan casually made up an excuse to brush it off.

He didn't want others to know about his Sharingan yet, nor did he want them to view him differently. These Ninjutsu techniques belonged to him alone, and he only needed to know them himself. This way, he could achieve unexpected results in battles when others were unaware of his abilities. Moreover, even though Kakashi was Ye Lan's teacher, he didn't want to reveal all his trump cards to him.

Furthermore, his possession of the Sharingan was somewhat of a taboo in the Naruto World. Based on the current timeline, the only person known to possess the Sharingan in this ninja village was Sasuke. The fact that he now inexplicably had one too would imply that Itachi had not only spared Sasuke but had also spared him, or rather, he was another existence altogether. After all, Itachi had slaughtered the entire Uchiha Clan, leaving only Sasuke alive.

Now that he possessed the Sharingan, there were only two possibilities: first, he was a member of the Uchiha Clan, which was clearly not the case; second, he had acquired the Sharingan from an Uchiha clan member through unconventional means. This would provide ample reason for the people of Konoha Village to punish him. He didn't want to expose himself too early and attract unnecessary trouble, as it would be better for everyone involved.

Seeing that Ye Lan didn't say anything, Kakashi didn't press further. After a moment, Kakashi said to Ye Lan, "How about this? Since there's nothing urgent right now, why don't you go home first? I'll let you know if there's anything you need to do."

Ye Lan awkwardly shook his head upon hearing this, saying, "Um, Kakashi, I don't have a room of my own yet."

"Could you arrange one for me?"

Kakashi glanced at Ye Lan with some embarrassment and then said, "Oh, right, I almost forgot about that. Well, Konoha Village has many places for accommodating visitors. I'll just arrange a dormitory for you for now, and then I'll arrange a house of your own for you later, okay? It might cost some money, just rent, what do you think?"

Ye Lan was overjoyed to hear this. Of course, he had no objections. Having a place to live was good enough for him. He didn't want to think too much about anything else.

Seeing that he had no objections, Kakashi said, "Alright then, I'll take you to your room first."

Kakashi led Ye Lan westward for a while before stopping at a place that resembled a hotel and saying, "This is the place. This place is similar to a guest house. Generally, many of the people here are ninjas from other villages. The place I've arranged for you is for Jonin only. It's a single room, and the conditions are pretty good. I hope you enjoy your stay."

Ye Lan quickly waved his hand, "Kakashi, what are you saying? Having a place for me to live is already great. Why would I ask about the quality of the house? As long as there's a place to stay, that's all I need. Thank you for doing so much for me, even finding me a house."

Kakashi casually waved his hand and said, "It's all part of the job. Who told me to become your teacher?"
