The Test, Part 1

"But speaking of which, why hasn't Kakashi arrived yet?"

Ye Lan chuckled, "He's notorious for being late. He's probably reading Make-Out Paradise right now."

Sasuke, who hadn't spoken until now, finally said, "Didn't you say you just arrived in Konoha Village? How do you know so much about Kakashi?"

Ye Lan was taken aback; he had indeed said too much.

"Heh, Kakashi was the one who took me to get my Forehead Protector yesterday when I first arrived."

Ye Lan said, pointing to the Forehead Protector on his forehead.

Sasuke glanced at Ye Lan and then remained silent.

Sakura hadn't said anything from beginning to end, because her eyes were fixed on Sasuke.

Naruto then asked, "Did Kakashi tell you to come to this place for the test?"

"Uh… yes."

Ye Lan casually brushed it off. Kakashi hadn't actually told him that this was the location for today's test; he had completely relied on his memory to get here.

Before long, Kakashi's voice came from afar, "Sorry, everyone, I'm late."

Kakashi was seen holding a copy of Make-Out Paradise in his right hand, looking at Ye Lan and the others with a smile.

Sasuke was the first to speak, "Are you sure there are only three Bells?"

"Yes."

Sakura then said, "But there are four of us taking the test. Even if we all get one of the three Bells, there will still be one person who definitely doesn't have a Bell. Wouldn't that last person be eliminated?"

Kakashi nodded, "Those are my rules. Originally, there were only two Bells, and the test has always been for three people. Because Ye Lan temporarily joined your Team 7, it became three. Moreover, in my test, no matter what the outcome, the best-case scenario is still eliminating one person."

Kakashi paused and said, "Because I won't let anyone who drags the team down pass."

Sasuke didn't say anything, crossing his arms and looking at Kakashi, because he was almost certain that he was definitely not the weakest one on the team. If even he couldn't get a Bell, then the others could forget about it.

Naruto looked excited, as he had always been very confident in his own strength, although he had never taken himself seriously.

Ye Lan smiled inwardly. It was just as he had thought, the same old rules.
