Seiji's Thoughts

"Grandpa, here's what I think." Seiji gathered his thoughts, then said, "I don't think the factors determining a jinchuriki's condition are entirely about Sealing Technique. Although I don't know what types of ninja the seniors from Hidden Mist Village who previously participated in jinchuriki experiments were, I'm guessing none of them had chakra that was exceptionally vast or vitality that far surpassed that of ninja at the same level."

Genji froze for a moment, then began recalling every ninja who had once been considered as a candidate for the Three-Tails or Six-Tails Jinchuriki.

After thinking it over, Genji was startled to discover that Seiji was right.

The ninja who had previously volunteered as jinchuriki experiment candidates ranged from Genin, Chunin, Elite Chunin, Special Jonin, Jonin, and Elite Jonin, all the way to Kage-level. Yet without exception, they had all been ordinary civilian-born ninja without any special talents.

Seiji was actually working backward from a conclusion he already knew. Isshiki had once set his sights on the nine Tailed Beasts in the Ninja World that had been split from the Ten-Tails belonging to the Kaguya Clan. Therefore, Seiji had done quite a bit of research on how to create a jinchuriki and achieve a Perfect Jinchuriki.

Before reaching a reconciliation with a Tailed Beast, if one wanted to use its power without suffering backlash or going berserk, the jinchuriki needed a firm will that would not be eroded by the malice contained within Tailed Beast Chakra, extraordinarily powerful vitality far beyond that of ordinary people, and chakra vastly greater than that of normal ninja—enough to contend with the Tailed Beast Chakra entering their body. Only then, paired with a suitable Sealing Technique, could it be done.

There were two reasons the previous experiments had failed. First, Hidden Mist Village's proficiency in Sealing Technique could not merely be called poor—it had absolutely no foundation whatsoever!

The other issue lay with the candidates themselves. The predecessors who had voluntarily taken on the Tailed Beasts were indeed worthy of admiration, but most of them did not even possess the qualifications to become jinchuriki.

In Seiji's view, unless a civilian ninja was exceptionally gifted and possessed the traits he had just described, then among those within Hidden Mist Village, only members of the Hoshigaki Clan, Kushina Clan, and Kaguya Clan had a chance of becoming jinchuriki.

"Go on!" Genji somewhat understood what Seiji meant and motioned for him to continue.

"Why has the Ninja World always said that the Uzumaki Clan are the most perfect jinchuriki candidates? They themselves are proficient in all kinds of Sealing Technique and possess a complete inheritance of sealing arts, allowing them to suppress Tailed Beasts anytime and anywhere. At the same time, Uzumaki Clan ninja have vitality and chakra far beyond those of other ninja. No, theirs can practically be called Chakraton." Seiji continued, "They can even survive for an additional period of time after the Tailed Beast inside them is extracted. So not only do we need to obtain their Sealing Technique—the best plan is actually to bring back both the people and their techniques together!"

"But there's no guarantee of that. Kumogakure and we are going to seize their Sealing Technique. We'd be digging up their roots—how could they possibly let that go? It could very likely turn into a war of national extermination. With hatred driving them, even if we brought members of the Uzumaki Clan back, they could never work for Hidden Mist Village." Genji raised his objection.

"Grandpa, that's what I was about to say next." After pausing for a moment, Seiji revealed his plan. "Although we're acting together with Kumogakure, that doesn't mean we're allies. Besides, even if we were allies, Hidden Mist Village's interests must come first. Kumogakure's ninja can basically all be called brutes. Although the Third Raikage is calm and quite wise, what he believes in most is still his own fists and strength."

"We can reach an agreement with Kumogakure in advance and launch attacks on the Land of Whirlpools from two different directions. Their target is only the Sealing Technique anyway. As long as they can obtain it, I don't think they'll care about the other details. So there's no need for us to form a joint army with them. We can act separately without interfering with one another, then rendezvous at Uzushio Village, where the Uzumaki Clan is gathered. There's a high chance the Third Raikage will agree."

"Hidden Mist Village will land on the southern side of the island where the Land of Whirlpools is located, and we'll proactively choose to intercept any reinforcements Konoha might send from the west. I believe that Konoha, already deeply mired in the quagmire of war at that time, won't send too many ninja to assist them. But we aren't truly aiming to destroy their nation. We can find reasons to delay our attack and let Kumogakure strike first and clash with the Uzumaki Clan. Then we can see how things develop and pick up whatever we can. At the same time, we can send people to negotiate with the Uzumaki Clan about relocating part of their clan to Hidden Mist Village. Though he wanted to lend a hand to his distant relatives, if they truly failed to recognize the times, he would not mind acting against them. After all, Hidden Mist Village was still his foundation—he could not let his loyalties drift.

"Good, very good! Hahaha!" After hearing Seiji out, Genji laughed heartily. "Little Seiji already possesses the mindset of a qualified Kage. You know to fight for Hidden Mist Village's interests at every turn! Your ideas are still immature, and the process needs further consideration, but this plan of yours is indeed feasible. And if it truly succeeds, Hidden Mist Village will not only obtain Sealing Technique and successfully gain jinchuriki capable of taking the battlefield, but also allow the Uzumaki Clan to take root and flourish in Hidden Mist Village."

In truth, this was a matter of information disparity. In this era of the Ninja World, every village was still in the exploratory stage when it came to jinchuriki.

So after hearing Seiji's analysis of the jinchuriki situation, Genji immediately realized that Seiji was likely correct, and without hesitation, he approved Seiji's plan.

(Was there really no one in Hidden Mist Village who could think of this? I think there probably was, but in my opinion, their words did not carry enough weight—or rather, their status was too low to convince the militant Third Mizukage. Secondly, in the original work, the Third Mizukage sent the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist to launch a surprise attack on the Land of Fire. Although that order may have been issued while he was controlled by Madara Uchiha, no one actually opposed such a brainless command. All that can be said is that Hidden Mist Village's traditions were not much better than brute-filled Kumogakure's. It was all the same—one word: fight!)
