The car left Seattle as the sky gradually darkened. By the time it reached Olympia, night had fully fallen. The moon had risen; it was a full moon tonight, huge and round as it hung on the horizon. The car traveled along a mountain highway, often going more than ten minutes without seeing another vehicle. The surroundings were tranquil and silent.
Suddenly,
A figure appeared in front of Jiang Hao's car.
Bang!
The front of the car slammed brutally into the person's body. By the headlights, Jiang Hao saw the person's face: a pale young man with blood-red pupils, staring fixedly at Jiang Hao inside the car. With both hands braced against the vehicle and his feet planted against the road, he forcibly brought the car, traveling at ninety kilometers per hour, to a stop.
Jiang Hao's heart gave a violent jolt.
Fuck, a vampire!
The car had already stopped. Without the slightest hesitation, Jiang Hao threw open the door and shot out. A Remington shotgun suddenly appeared in his hand, and he fired at the vampire still standing in front of the car.
Boom!
Jiang Hao's shot came unexpectedly, fast and vicious. The massive round struck the vampire's head, instantly blowing out his eye socket.
The vampire screamed and flew backward, clutching his eye as he rolled across the ground. Wisps of green smoke rose from his palm.
The vampire was in agony, yet he still wasn't dead. Jiang Hao had long known that vampires had absurdly tough defenses, but every time he saw it, he couldn't help being stunned by just how monstrous they were. A Remington shotgun, fired straight into the eye, and it hadn't even blown his skull apart or turned his head into a smashed watermelon.
