Background / History

Nuwa descended to the foothills of Mount Buzhou to comprehend the Dao and create a new race through supreme merit. Using the Creation Immortal Cauldron, Nine Heavens Breathing Earth, Three-Light Divine Water, and the Human Creation Whip, she fashioned and animated the Primordial Human Race. She established the Human Dao, granting humanity emotions, wisdom, a mortal life cycle, and the potential to pursue immortality; the resulting merit elevated her to Sagehood. 1

Her creation was immediately eclipsed by Chen Xuan's Mythical Nuwa manifestation, which created the Yan and Huang Human Race with stronger innate talent, physique, longevity, and cultivation. Though shocked by the identical appearance and superior aura of the supposed “First Generation Nuwa,” Nuwa remained at Mount Buzhou for a century to investigate the mystery and taught her own humans by following Mythical Nuwa's examples of housing, fire, tribal life, and cooking. 1

Unwilling to accept the disparity between their human races, Nuwa challenged Mythical Nuwa beyond the Thirty-three Heavens. Even while borrowing Heavenly Dao Origin, she was defeated and subsequently entered a Heavenly Marriage with Chen Xuan under the terms of their wager. 2

After Chen Xuan became Dao Venerable, Nuwa established a dojo in the Thirty-three Heavens, recognizing that Sainthood was no longer the peak of cultivation. Her connection to Chen Xuan later enabled her to transcend the Heavenly Dao and reach the Ninth Heaven of Sainthood. 3 5

Nuwa continued to develop alongside the expanding Primordial World. During Tongtian's conflict with the Sword Dao Patriarch, she recognized the source of the Primordial World's cultivation restrictions and broke into the Hunyuan Wuji realm. 9

When Mythical Nuwa's template ended, the remaining aura Chen Xuan had placed upon Mount Shouyang became a divine statue that continued to suppress Pangu's aura. The statue became a central symbol of faith for the Yan and Huang descendants in the Divine World. 16 19

Appearance

Nuwa first appears as an ethereal immortal maiden in snow-white robes, with long hair flowing like a waterfall. Her bearing is clear, cold, and holy, carrying the majesty of a Sage after her ascent. 1

Mythical Nuwa's superior Human Race and overwhelming strength left her unconvinced, leading her to demand a rematch under restrictions against using Mythic World Origin. 2 Her prolonged stay at Mount Buzhou shows both her suspicion of Mythical Nuwa's identity and her refusal to fall behind. 1

Despite this pride, Nuwa can acknowledge superior strength and learn from others. She accepts Chen Xuan as “elder sister,” imitates useful teachings for the Primordial Humans, and later openly recognizes the enormous gulf between her cultivation and Chen Xuan's. 1 2 9
