The range of candidates was not actually very large. Among the previous Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village, only Tobirama Senju and Minato Namikaze could be considered excellent Hokage.
The others each had their own strengths and obvious flaws.
"What kind of person was the Second Hokage?" Naruto asked curiously.
He did not know much about Tobirama Senju. He only knew that Tobirama Senju had been an extremely capable Hokage.
"As for the Second Hokage, he was a very stern, even strict person. If we judged him solely as a Hokage, he was probably the closest thing to a perfect Hokage, aside from his strength being somewhat lacking," Kitahara Kaede said.
The Second Hokage's strength was not poor. With a whole pile of Forbidden Jutsu at his disposal, he certainly could not have been weak.
It was merely that being killed by the Gold and Silver Brothers, along with a group of nameless people, was rather open to criticism.
"Somewhat lacking in strength?" Naruto muttered softly.
"'Somewhat lacking' means generally satisfactory. It does not mean his strength was poor," Kitahara Kaede said.
Naruto's level of education was a problem, though that was quite common in the ninja world.
Could anyone really expect children who had nothing to do with school after the age of twelve to possess a high level of knowledge?
Especially since many courses at the Ninja Academy existed specifically to turn them into ninjas.
"Although you, Naruto, can now be considered a powerhouse in the ninja world, if the Second Hokage fought you, he would not necessarily lose," Kitahara Kaede added.
Although Naruto had now moved beyond relying solely on Shadow Clones and
