The battle between the Amazon Queen and Heracles was incredibly fierce. Even the shockwaves that splashed outward kept the surrounding Cruel Officials from approaching them. The moment anyone drew close, their bodies were immediately torn apart.
As the two traded blow after blow, Yao Guang Palace, which the Empress had spent so much effort constructing, began to teeter on the verge of collapse. Before long, the entire tower came crashing down, yet neither of them seemed to notice. Completely unconcerned by the falling debris overhead, they continued fighting desperately.
Boom.
With a thunderous crash that echoed throughout Nevernight City, Yao Guang Palace completely collapsed. Countless chunks of rubble rained down, burying the Amazon Queen and Heracles beneath the ruins.
"Did they perish together?"
"I doubt it'll be that easy."
Just as Roman and Da Vinci finished speaking, the ruined Yao Guang Palace began to shake violently. With another tremendous roar, the Amazon Queen and Heracles burst out of the wreckage at the same time, sending shattered stones flying in all directions amid shrieking winds.
Mash hurriedly swung her shield before Ritsuka, blocking the flying debris. A continuous series of thuds rang out against the shield.
"Mash, Ritsuka, get out of here! The Amazons have already broken in! If we don't leave now, it'll be too late!"
"Let's go."
Mash, Ritsuka, and the others looked at the still-fighting Amazon Queen and Heracles, as well as the Amazon warriors charging in from afar. After hesitating briefly, they left with unwilling looks on their faces.
They had originally planned to wait until the Queen and Heracles had both suffered heavy losses, then eliminate them both and resolve this Singularity. However, perhaps because the Empress had vanished, Nevernight City's Cruel Officials had lost much of their fighting strength and could not stop the Amazon
