"This is really good stuff. It could be widely adopted across Pan-Human History."
While Sherlock Holmes, Da Vinci, Nezha, and the others studied the puppet soldiers, Shen Fei examined the crops in the fields. Through conversations with the local villagers, he learned that the yields here were the highest of any world he had encountered so far. Their properties were incomparable to crops from other worlds as well. They needed no pesticides, fertilizer, or similar measures; simply planting them in the fields was enough to guarantee a harvest. They were also immune to pests. Combined with their extraordinary yield, they were practically perfect grain seeds.
As the saying went, with food in hand, there was no panic in the heart. No matter how far society developed, food remained indispensable. It was the foundation of all foundations, the lifeline of a nation and its people. People would not rebel because they lacked phones, the internet, or electricity, but if food ran out and famine struck, rebellion would come easily.
"I never expected you to be so interested in this." During a break, Da Vinci looked at the grain Shen Fei held in his hand and spoke.
"I am an emperor myself, after all. Naturally, I have to consider the welfare of the people. With these, nothing else needs to be said—there will be no more famines."
"That is true." Da Vinci let out a soft sigh.
As they spoke with the villagers, the group gradually came to understand the system of this Lostbelt. This in turn sparked a heated debate among the Chaldea group over whether the Lostbelt's system was good or bad.
From a modern perspective, such a system of keeping the people ignorant was naturally detestable. Yet they also had to admit that this Lostbelt had truly eliminated war.
