"These islands feel strange. Heracles Island seemed to be the same before."
On the western side of Hecate Island, Mash, Ritsuka, Shen Fei, and the others walked through the forest. Looking down at the ground beneath their feet, Mash voiced her doubts. The earth here felt far too hard, not quite like soil.
"The magical energy here is very dense. I feel like even my Saint Graph has improved," Professor Nemo said as well. Captain Nemo had to oversee repairs to the Nautilus, so Professor Nemo had joined this exploration instead.
"Let's dig and see. We'll know soon enough." Shen Fei found a spot, materialized a greatsword, and began digging.
"This is... no way." Shen Fei was surprised by what he unearthed. He moved to another spot and dug again, only to find the same thing: metal wreckage.
"If the ground beneath all these islands is made of this stuff, then these islands were probably formed this way." Metal islands—if Hecate Island had formed like this, and Hestia Island and Heracles Island were the same, then things became interesting.
"If all this wreckage lies underground, that means soil and plants developed on top of it. The temples may also be part of the wreckage. Perhaps the Olympian gods have some sort of connection to it too. That could be why they became Machine Gods. Triton said before that it was hard to imagine his father was actually a Machine God."
Professor Nemo picked up several pieces of wreckage from the ground and shared her speculation. Then she went further, boldly suggesting that the wreckage might be the remains of a spaceship.
"This should be one of the differences between the Lostbelt and Pan-Human History. We can deal with these academic questions after resolving the situation here. All right, it's getting
