"She came alone? That's pretty confident of her. Or does she have backup?"
Following the direction Sherlock Holmes had indicated, Shen Fei immediately spotted Caenis rapidly approaching over the distant sea, running atop the waves. At first, she had truly been no more than a tiny black dot, but in the blink of an eye, her full figure was clearly visible. He was somewhat surprised to see that she was alone.
If this had been the original work, it would have been one thing for Caenis to come charging over alone. But he had fought her before. For her to still dare rush straight at them by herself under these circumstances was rather strange.
"Chiyome, watch out!"
As soon as Caenis reached the vicinity of the Argo, she leaped into the air, her spear thrusting straight toward Mochizuki Chiyome at the edge of the deck. Orion immediately shouted and appeared at Chiyome's side, blocking Caenis's attack with the wooden club in his hand.
"Don't underestimate me."
After Orion blocked Caenis's attack, Chiyome immediately drew the longsword at her waist and attacked Caenis, only for it to be blocked by Caenis's shield. Caenis then spun and landed on the other side of the deck. Mash immediately shifted position to protect Ritsuka behind her, while Shen Fei stepped sideways to Ritsuka's other side.
Mandycard, Corday, and Jason quickly moved closer to Mash and Ritsuka. Orion and Chiyome followed them over, and the deck was instantly divided into two camps.
"Watch Artemis." Inside the Nautilus, Da Vinci, Sherlock Holmes, and the others immediately intensified their surveillance of the Moon Goddess in the sky. After Captain Nemo recovered, the super telescope had been the first piece of equipment to be repaired.
"Perhaps this is an opportunity." A thought suddenly occurred to Sherlock Holmes.
"Caenis."
