"Welcome to Manchester. I never expected you to visit less than a day after arriving." Soon after the group arrived at Barghest's estate, they met her. She looked delighted by the arrival of Chaldea and Castoria, the Child of Prophecy.
"How beautiful! Who on earth said you were terrifying? No, this is what true nobility looks like—no, the bearing of a true ruler! I, Redra, feel like I've been overtaken on the inside lane."
Redra, the fae horse who should have been terrified of Barghest, suddenly had stars in his eyes upon seeing her, and his attitude changed at once.
Everyone was left speechless, having no idea what to say. Redra, however, did not care what they thought and continued eagerly flattering Barghest.
"Th-thank you for the praise. Um, where is this member of the Fang Clan from?"
Redra's attitude left even Barghest at a loss. Until now, she had never encountered anyone who praised her so lavishly, especially a fae from the Fang Clan. Although Barghest herself belonged to the Fang Clan, her appearance had subjected her to endless scorn and bullying there. She bore no beastly features and instead looked human, making her an outsider among the Fang Clan.
"Don't mind him. He's just a worthless nag who can't even serve as a proper meat shield. Habetrot, could you take Redra outside?" Castoria wore a gentle smile, though there was something rather strange about it.
"Understood. Come on, Redra, let's go to the courtyard. There's a circular plaza there that looks like fun." Habetrot immediately went over to Redra. Though reluctant, he was still led outside by Habetrot.
"That was an exception. Now that we're here, Barghest, what is your objective?" Once Redra had been dragged away, Da Vinci got straight to the point.
