Barghest was one of the few knights in this Lostbelt who truly protected the Goblins and safeguarded the nation. To be honest, the title Fae Knight Gawain suited her perfectly. Had she been in Pan-Human History, she would undoubtedly have become a figure like the Knights of the Round Table, remembered by later generations.
Unfortunately, the Goblins of Fae Country were too rotten. So rotten that this guardian knight could only become a Calamity and personally kill the Goblins she had always protected. Manchester, the city Barghest had always been determined to protect—even when Camelot was swallowed by the Mors tide, all she had wanted was to return and protect them.
After the Great Calamity erupted, the unluckiest place was naturally Camelot, located at the edge of the Great Pit. Almost all the Goblins there turned into Mors immediately. Because of her strength and other factors, although Barghest's body was also afflicted by the curse, she still did everything she could to cover the rear and allow Camelot's Knights of the Round Table to withdraw from the city.
Afterward, when Barghest sensed that something was wrong with her body, she rushed back with all her strength out of concern for the Goblins of Manchester. She had intended to send the five hundred Goblins previously agreed upon with Chaldea aboard the ship. Yet when she returned to Manchester, what she saw was Goblins slaughtering humans.
Manchester's so-called peaceful coexistence between humans and Goblins, its harmonious atmosphere—none of it had been real. It was all an illusion deliberately presented to Barghest by those Goblins. Barghest had spent years fighting Mors throughout Britain. Even when she returned to Manchester, she could only stay for a few days, so she naturally knew nothing of the truth there.
Barghest had only discovered it this time
