With that thought, Xuandu no longer rushed to make his choice. Instead, he looked toward Laozi, bowed, and asked, "May I ask, Master, what is the difference between the Supreme Purity Sacred Art and the Nine Revolutions Mysterious Technique?"

"What differences will there be after cultivating them?"

Hearing this, Laozi gave Xuandu a deep look.

He had seen Xuandu's little movements earlier very clearly. It was obvious that Xuandu favored the Supreme Purity Sacred Art he had created.

Yet merely because of Li Yun's choice, Xuandu had hesitated and even asked about the differences between the two techniques. This disappointed him somewhat.

However, Laozi did not reveal any displeasure. Instead, he explained calmly, "The Supreme Purity Sacred Art was created by me based on the Supreme Purity inheritance. "The Supreme Purity Sacred Art was created by your master after I Attained Dao. It is itself a top-tier cultivation technique. Looking across the Primordial World, few cultivation techniques can compare with it."

The southern and northern regions are where Chan Teachings and the Interception Sect reside. As a Human Teachings Disciple, you must not go there recklessly."

After responding, Li Yun and Xuandu did not dare delay.

Immediately afterward, the two fellow disciples stopped disturbing Laozi. After bowing to him, they turned and headed outside.

After they left, Laozi said nothing more. He turned and entered the Alchemy Room, then sat before the Eight Trigrams Furnace and began refining pills.

"Junior Brother Li Yun, once you have found a residence, be sure to let me know."

Outside the Palace of Supreme Purity, Xuandu looked at Li Yun excitedly and said, "Once I successfully cultivate the Supreme Purity Sacred Art, I'll come find you to discuss the Dao."

"Besides, Human Teachings has only the two of us as disciples. We must advance hand in hand from now on."

Hearing this, Li Yun came back to his senses. Looking at the high-spirited Xuandu, he thought to himself, As expected, becoming a Direct Disciple has changed his mindset quite a bit.

Thinking of the cautious, somewhat rigid Xuandu from their journey, then looking at the spirited figure before him, Li Yun did not refuse. "I understand, Senior Brother!"

"Once I find a Daoist site, I will definitely inform you, Senior Brother."

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Li Yun turned and left the Palace of Supreme Purity's grounds, while Xuandu eagerly headed toward the Side Hall.
