Arc 5The Law of Strength

Li Yun completed his Five Elements cultivation and persuaded the Ancestor Witches that they could attain Dao through Law and Destiny. During the Method of Sacrifice, he awakened Pangu’s Law of Strength, while the Witch Clan moved toward an alliance with Laozi and considered creating a Thirteenth Ancestor Witch.

  • Zhunti traded two Bodhi Seeds to Yuanshi Tianzun for a High-Grade Innate Spirit Treasure staff, then returned to Mount Sumeru as Jieyin planned to test the Three Teachings at the Demon Emperor’s Son’s birthday gathering.

  • Dijiang led Li Yun and the Twelve Ancestor Witches into the Land Abandoned by Heaven to perform the Method of Sacrifice, while Laozi left Li Yun the Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang Pagoda for protection.
  • The Twelve Ancestor Witches used their array to awaken the laws in Li Yun’s bloodline, and he chose to focus on the Law of Strength.
  • The Ancestor Witches agreed to cooperate with Laozi, while Dijiang accompanied Xuanming to retrieve her dormant Spirit Embryo so Jumang could try to create a Thirteenth Ancestor Witch with Li Yun’s Essence Blood.

  • Yuanshi Tianzun completed the trade and departed with Li Yun.

Ch. 102The Two Western Saints' Scheme, Sword Pointed at the Kirin

Zhunti warned Jieyin that Yuanshi Tianzun and Li Yun’s travels might signal close ties among the Three Teachings, prompting the Western Saints to plan a test of their disciples. Jieyin sent Zhunti to seek Kirin descendants for the Western Teachings, while he resolved to investigate Li Yun.

  • After Yuanshi Tianzun left with Li Yun, Zhunti returned to Mount Sumeru and told Jieyin that Yuanshi had taken two Sacred Beast offspring as disciples and was traveling with a Disciple of Taiqing.
  • Jieyin cautioned that the Three Teachings’ closeness was only speculation and proposed testing their disciples against the Western Teachings at the Son of the Demon Emperor’s birthday gathering.
  • Zhunti asked whether they could recruit Azure Dragon or Vermilion Bird descendants, but Jieyin explained that neither Sacred Beast had suitable offspring.
  • Jieyin sent Zhunti to the Kirin Holy Land to seek Pure-blooded Kirin disciples and other Kirin to bolster the Western Teachings.
  • As Zhunti departed, Jieyin reflected on Li Yun obtaining a Bodhi Seed and considered whether the young disciple could be won over.

Ch. 103Return to Kunlun Mountain, Laozi's Plan

Li Yun returned to Kunlun Mountain with Yuanshi Tianzun, having gathered four extreme origins and strengthened his bloodline to a level comparable to an Ancestor Witch. Laozi planned to take him to the Witch Clan to obtain a bloodline-based Law inheritance, while Yuanshi Tianzun prepared to return to the Extreme West Region to train Zhenwu.

  • Xuandu welcomed Yuanshi Tianzun and Li Yun into the Palace of Supreme Purity and learned that Li Yun had reached the Mid Golden Immortal Realm and needed only the Origin of Extreme Fire.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun told Laozi that Li Yun had obtained the Ginseng Fruit Tree Origin and Earth Veins Origin at Wuzhuang Temple, bringing his total to four extreme origins.
  • Laozi examined Li Yun and found that his Pangu bloodline had advanced to a level comparable to an Ancestor Witch.
  • Laozi proposed taking Li Yun to obtain the Origin of Extreme Fire from Di Jun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi, then visiting the Witch Clan for its bodily cultivation inheritance and Method of Sacrifice.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun accepted Laozi's plan and said he would return to the Extreme West Region to train his disciple Zhenwu as his successor.
  • Laozi gave Yuanshi Tianzun a Jade Bottle of Bloodline Purification Pills for his two disciples, Zhenwu and Bai Jie.

Ch. 104First Arrival at Buzhou Mountain, Eastern Emperor Taiyi

Laozi took Li Yun to Buzhou Mountain to address Li Yun’s unstable cultivation, while Xuandu stayed behind to cultivate. At the Demon Court, Eastern Emperor Taiyi welcomed Laozi and asked why he had come.

  • Yuanshi Tianzun left the Palace of Supreme Purity with the pills he had obtained, and Li Yun told Laozi that his cultivation was nearing the Late Golden Immortal Realm.
  • Laozi chose to take Li Yun to Buzhou Mountain, while Xuandu stayed behind and accepted a Jade Bottle of Golden Elixir to strengthen his cultivation.
  • Laozi and Li Yun arrived at the Demon Court, where the guards recognized Laozi and reported his visit.
  • Di Jun sent Eastern Emperor Taiyi to welcome Laozi and Bai Ze to summon Fuxi and Nuwa to the Demon Emperor’s Palace.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi greeted Laozi at the entrance to the Thirty-three Heavens and asked the reason for his visit.

Ch. 105Requesting the Origin of Extreme Fire

Laozi obtained a portion of the Origin of Extreme Fire from Eastern Emperor Taiyi for Li Yun and declined an invitation to the Demon Court, choosing instead to take his disciple to Buzhou Mountain. After Laozi and Li Yun left, Taiyi returned to the Demon Emperor's Palace and told Di Jun and the Demon Commanders why Laozi had come.

  • Laozi asked Eastern Emperor Taiyi for a portion of the Origin of Extreme Fire, and Taiyi gave it to him for Li Yun.
  • Li Yun thanked Eastern Emperor Taiyi and explained that he needed the Origin of Extreme Fire for cultivation.

  • Laozi and Li Yun left for the Buzhou Mountain range, while Eastern Emperor Taiyi ordered the guards to keep patrolling and avoid acting rashly toward powerful cultivators.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi returned to the Demon Emperor's Palace and told Di Jun and the Demon Commanders that Laozi had come for his disciple.

Ch. 106Demon Clan's Decision, Late Golden Immortal Realm

Di Jun learned that Laozi and Yuanshi Tianzun both valued Li Yun, so he ordered the Demon Clan not to harm him. Meanwhile, Li Yun absorbed the Origin of Extreme Fire, reached the Late Golden Immortal Realm, and faced the arrival of the Three Disasters.

  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi identified Laozi's disciple as Li Yun and said a Saint had concealed his origins and foundation.
  • Kunpeng revealed that Yuanshi Tianzun had once taken Li Yun, a disciple of Taiqing, on a journey into the North Sea.
  • Di Jun ordered the Demon Clan not to harm Li Yun, threatening to punish anyone who disobeyed.
  • Laozi took Li Yun to a valley on Buzhou Mountain, gave him the Origin of Extreme Fire, and told him to refine it.
  • After three years, Li Yun completed the Five Elements Cycle and advanced to the Late Golden Immortal Realm.
  • The Three Disasters gathered over the valley, and Laozi waited outside, telling Li Yun to call for help if he could not endure them.

Ch. 107Tribulation Transcendence: Three Disasters, Seventy-Two Transformations Unleash Their Might

Li Yun used his Seventy-Two Transformations to evade the Fire, Water, and Wind Disasters while Laozi watched over him. After the final disaster ended, Li Yun’s cultivation had nearly reached Golden Immortal perfection, and he prepared to condense the Five Qi Towards Origin Dao Fruit.

  • Li Yun told Laozi that his Seventy-Two Transformations could evade the Three Disasters, and Laozi agreed to protect him.
  • Laozi left the valley as the Fire Disaster began, and Li Yun transformed into a stone to deceive the disaster with a false image.
  • After three months, the Fire Disaster ended and its power boosted Li Yun’s cultivation; he then transformed into a fish to endure the Water Disaster.
  • Three months later, the Water Disaster ended, and Li Yun’s true body remained hidden as heavenly water drained from the valley.
  • The Wind Disaster swept through the valley for half a year before ending, leaving Li Yun’s cultivation close to Golden Immortal perfection.

Ch. 108Condensing the Dao Fruit, Shaking Buzhou Mountain

Li Yun began condensing the ultimate Five Qi Towards Origin Dao Fruit after passing the Three Disasters, while Laozi supplied more Five Elements spiritual energy to make up for what was lacking. The disturbance drew the Demon Clan and Witch Clan to Buzhou Mountain, and Dijiang set out to investigate as the Ancestor Witches prepared for the next battle.

  • Li Yun dismissed his Seventy-Two Transformations clone, and Laozi praised his ability to evade the world's will before urging him to use the Heavenly Nourishment to condense his Dao Fruit.
  • Five Elements power entered Li Yun's body, and he opened the gap in his Extreme Five Elements Cycle to form the Dao Fruit's embryonic outline, reaching Perfection of Golden Immortal Realm as it became clearer.
  • Laozi sensed that the Heavenly Nourishment was insufficient, so he gathered Five Elements spiritual energy from across Buzhou Mountain and sent it into Li Yun, shaking the region.
  • Demon Clan cultivators and Witch Clan Great Witches arrived, saw Laozi, and withdrew without interfering.
  • A Great Witch reported to the Twelve Ancestor Witches that Laozi was helping a cultivator condense the Five Qi Towards Origin Dao Fruit, likely one of his disciples.
  • Dijiang decided to go inspect the valley while the other Ancestor Witches continued preparing their clan's Great Witches for the next battle.

Ch. 109Mysterious Technique Sixth Turn, Mid Tai Yi Golden Immortal

Li Yun condensed the Ultimate Five Qi Towards Origin Dao Fruit, advancing to the Tai Yi Golden Immortal realm and pushing his Nine Revolutions Mysterious Technique into its Sixth Turn. Laozi explained that Li Yun would need the powers of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity to perfect his future Three Flowers Gathering at the Crown, and Li Yun proposed using Breathing Soil as the Earthly power.

  • Li Yun formed the Five Divine Palaces within his viscera and condensed the Ultimate Five Qi Towards Origin Dao Fruit, breaking through to Mid Tai Yi Golden Immortal and advancing his physical cultivation to Late Tai Yi Golden Immortal.
  • Laozi praised the successful method and considered how Li Yun could obtain the Three Powers needed to refine the Three Flowers Gathering at the Crown.
  • Li Yun recognized that his new Five Elements foundation could strengthen his body and considered equipping his Yin-Yang Origin Trait once he gained an empty Trait Slot.
  • Li Yun asked Laozi how to perfect his cultivation, and Laozi said the Three Flowers had to surpass the ninth grade through the powers of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity.
  • Li Yun proposed using Breathing Soil as a source of Earthly power, and Laozi explained that it held pure earth power and a trace of Pangu's Spinal Marrow origin.

Ch. 110Hoping One's Disciple Becomes a Dragon, Dijiang Descends

Li Yun learned how Laozi would help him prepare for the Three Flowers Gathering at the Crown and urged his master to seek a merger with Humanity Dao. Dijiang then arrived, sensed Li Yun’s pure Pangu bloodline, and discovered that he was Laozi’s disciple.

  • Laozi agreed to obtain Nuwa’s remaining Breathing Soil for Li Yun and explained how Humanity Dao and the Three Flowers would factor into his cultivation.
  • Laozi said they would first resolve matters with the Witch Clan, then seek the other foundations Li Yun needed after Nuwa arrived for the Son of the Demon Emperor’s birthday.
  • Li Yun urged Laozi to exclude Nuwa from Humanity Dao and eventually Merge with Dao, tempting Laozi with the prospect of power and freedom from the Heavenly Dao.
  • Dijiang arrived and sensed Li Yun’s bloodline, which was as strong as an Ancestor Witch’s yet free of Innate Turbid Qi.
  • Li Yun introduced himself as Laozi’s disciple, leaving Dijiang reluctant to accept that someone with such a bloodline belonged to the Three Pure Ones rather than the Witch Clan.

Ch. 111Dijiang's refusal, the conflict between the Three Pure Ones and the Ancestor Witches

Laozi asked Dijiang to let the Witch Clan use its Method of Sacrifice to awaken the law inheritance in Li Yun’s Pangu bloodline. Dijiang refused because Li Yun was Laozi’s disciple, and Li Yun stepped forward to speak with him directly.

  • Dijiang realized Li Yun’s bloodline had drawn fortune away from the Twelve Ancestor Witches and prepared to leave.
  • Laozi stopped Dijiang and explained that he wanted the Witch Clan’s Method of Sacrifice to awaken Li Yun’s laws.
  • Dijiang said he would help Li Yun if he were unaffiliated with Laozi, but refused because he was a disciple of Supreme Purity.
  • Li Yun considered the deepening divide between the Three Pure Ones and the Ancestor Witches, then asked Dijiang to hear him out.

Ch. 112The Mouth-Dun Ancestor Witch: Dijiang's Imagined Explanation

Li Yun offered Dijiang a secret Method of Attaining Dao suited to the Ancestor Witches in exchange for using the Method of Sacrifice to awaken his law. Dijiang agreed to hear the method at Pangu Hall with the other Ancestor Witches present, leaving Li Yun’s bargain poised for its test.

  • Dijiang refused to help Li Yun unless he left the Three Pure Ones’ tutelage, angering Laozi.
  • Li Yun proposed trading valuable information for the Ancestor Witches’ help and decided not to reveal Houtu’s future transformation into reincarnation.
  • Li Yun claimed he knew a Method of Attaining Dao that could greatly raise the Ancestor Witches’ strength and cultivation.
  • Dijiang doubted Li Yun’s claim but was shaken by his confidence and suspected Laozi might be behind it.
  • Dijiang agreed to take Li Yun to Pangu Hall, where Li Yun would present the method to the Ancestor Witches for them to test.

Ch. 113Pangu Hall and the Pangu Fortune Statue

Dijiang brought Laozi and Li Yun to Pangu Hall, where Li Yun promised that he knew a way for the Ancestor Witches to attain Dao without primordial spirits. Inside, Laozi examined the Witch Clan’s fortune statue as Dijiang lamented that Hongjun had prevented the Witch Clan from defeating the Demon Clan.

  • On the way to Pangu Hall, Laozi asked Li Yun if he was certain he could help the Ancestor Witches, and Li Yun assured him that he knew a suitable Method of Attaining Dao.
  • Dijiang led Laozi and Li Yun to Pangu Hall and told the guards to have arriving Great Witches wait outside.
  • Laozi recognized Pangu Hall’s strength and said it could not be seized while the Twelve Ancestor Witches and the Witch Clan lived.
  • The three entered the hall and reached a plaza dominated by a statue that carried the fortune of the Witch Clan.
  • Laozi admired the Witch Clan’s immense fortune and wondered whether he could gain the Human Race’s fortune through Humanity Dao.
  • Dijiang said the Witch Clan would have defeated the Demon Clan and claimed the Primordial Huang World’s fortune if Hongjun had not intervened.

Ch. 114Twelve Ancestor Witches Gather, Li Yun Explains Attaining Dao

The Twelve Ancestor Witches gathered to hear Li Yun explain the methods of Attaining Dao and the path most suited to them. He revealed that their bloodlines contained Pangu’s complete Law inheritance, but the chapter ended before he could explain how they might unlock it.

  • Zhujiuyin and the other Ancestor Witches arrived and questioned Dijiang about bringing Laozi and Li Yun to Pangu Hall.
  • The Ancestor Witches sensed Li Yun’s pure Pangu bloodline and protested that he should belong to the Witch Clan rather than be Laozi’s disciple.
  • Dijiang promised that the Twelve Ancestor Witches would perform the Method of Sacrifice for Li Yun if his information gave them a real chance to Attain Dao.
  • Li Yun inspected the Twelve Ancestor Witches and saw that each could gain his favorability, then explained four methods of Attaining Dao.
  • Li Yun said Attaining Dao through Law suited the Ancestor Witches best and that they carried Pangu’s complete Law inheritance within them.

Ch. 115Exposing the Lie, Supreme Purity's Fury

Li Yun challenged the accepted claim that Pangu and the Chaos Demon Gods had failed to attain Dao, arguing that their feats suggested they were at least as powerful as Saints. Laozi and the Ancestor Witches began to suspect Hongjun had deceived the Primordial World, leaving them reconsidering the paths of cultivation open to the Ancestor Witches.

  • Jumang questioned Li Yun’s claim that cultivating laws could lead to attaining Dao, citing Hongjun’s account of Pangu’s failure.
  • Li Yun asked what evidence supported the belief that Pangu and the Demon Gods had never become Saints, pointing to Pangu’s creation of the Primordial World.
  • Laozi realized Hongjun might have switched the concepts and deceived him and the other beings of the Primordial World.
  • Li Yun claimed that awakened fragments of his bloodline memory showed Demon Gods wielding power no weaker than that of Saints.
  • Dijiang and the other Ancestor Witches concluded that Hongjun had deceived them and recognized that they could pursue Attain Dao through Law.

Ch. 116Analyzing the Three Corpses, Supreme Purity's Composure Shattered Again

Li Yun argued that cultivating laws could lead the Ancestor Witches to sainthood, while Severing the Three Corpses might not truly attain Dao without Hongmeng Purple Qi. Laozi confirmed that he had completed the method before becoming a Saint and had sensed problems with it, leaving the Ancestor Witches shaken by Hongjun’s possible deception.

  • Dijiang asked whether the Ancestor Witches could attain Dao by cultivating laws, and Li Yun said law cultivation could reach or surpass the level of Saints.
  • Laozi asked whether Severing the Three Corpses was not a true method of attaining Dao, and Li Yun pointed to Laozi and Ancestor Minghe as evidence of its limits.
  • Li Yun explained that he wanted to help the Pangu Lineage change its fate and argued that the Three Pure Ones and Ancestor Witches could protect him as he pursued Dao.
  • Li Yun described Laozi’s completion of Severing the Three Corpses and Ancestor Minghe’s failure to become a Saint despite his merits and cultivation.
  • Zhujiuyin questioned Laozi, and Laozi confirmed that he had completed Severing the Three Corpses, noticed problems with it, and then pursued sainthood through establishing a teaching.

Ch. 117The Ancestor Witches' Ecstasy, Laozi's Crushing Blow

After Laozi warned the Twelve Ancestor Witches that Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao would prevent their clan from ruling the Primordial World, Li Yun reassured them that even one Witch Saint outside the Heavenly Dao could help. Dijiang rejected defeat and asked Li Yun how attaining Dao through destiny worked and whether the Ancestor Witches could cultivate it.

  • Zhurong celebrated learning about attaining Dao through law and imagined the Twelve Ancestor Witches becoming Saints and ruling the Primordial World.
  • Laozi warned the Ancestor Witches that Hongjun, the Heavenly Dao, and the other Saints would not allow them time to become Saints or conquer the world.
  • Li Yun said that even one Ancestor Witch becoming a Saint outside the Heavenly Dao would greatly benefit the Witch Clan, but that the clan could not become rulers of the Primordial World.
  • Laozi explained that the Witch and Demon Clans were destined to fall or destroy each other, citing Hongjun's intervention in their previous war.
  • Dijiang resolved that sufficient strength could overcome their enemies and asked Li Yun about attaining Dao through destiny and whether the Ancestor Witches could cultivate it.

Ch. 118Master and Disciple Discuss the Dao: A Destiny Saint?

Li Yun explained how the Witch Clan could use its destiny and Pangu fortune to create a Destiny Saint, with Laozi approving the plan. The Twelve Ancestor Witches hesitated over transferring their Pangu fortune after learning the cost.

  • Li Yun hesitated to reveal the Method of Attaining Dao through Destiny to the Twelve Ancestor Witches, but Laozi told him to explain it.
  • Laozi said only one Ancestor Witch could cultivate Attaining Dao through Destiny and urged the others to honor their promise to help Li Yun awaken laws through sacrifice.
  • Li Yun explained that one Ancestor Witch could gather the Witch Clan's destiny and reach at least the half-step Saint stage.
  • Laozi realized that combining the Witch Clan's destiny with transferred Pangu fortune could produce a Destiny Saint, and Li Yun said the chances would be at least ninety percent.
  • The Twelve Ancestor Witches hesitated because transferring their Pangu fortune would cause them a tremendous loss.

Ch. 119Ancestor Witch's Decision, Li Yun's Choice

Li Yun learned that the Ancestor Witches could help him awaken a Law through the Method of Sacrifice, but chose the safer option despite its unpredictable result. Dijiang agreed to proceed, and the Ancestor Witches prepared to begin.

  • Zhujiuyin warned that transferring Pangu Fortune could endanger the other Ancestor Witches and the Witch Clan, and Dijiang agreed that they should wait until the others attained Dao through Law.
  • Li Yun and Laozi were relieved that the Ancestor Witches would not rush to create a Destiny Saint.
  • Dijiang offered Li Yun a choice between a blood sacrifice that could awaken a chosen Law but risk Innate Turbid Qi invading him, and a Twelve Heavenly Gods Great Array method that would awaken a random Law without that danger.
  • Laozi objected to the blood-sacrifice method, and Li Yun chose the safer array method despite its uncertain outcome.
  • Dijiang accepted Li Yun's choice and called on the other Ancestor Witches to begin the Method of Sacrifice.

Ch. 120The Pangu Blood Pool, an Incomplete World

Li Yun and Laozi followed the Twelve Ancestor Witches deeper into Pangu Hall, where Dijiang revealed an incomplete world that could shelter and sustain the Witch Clan. The group reached its entrance, and Dijiang asked Laozi whether he would wait outside or go in.

  • Dijiang agreed to help Li Yun and led the Twelve Ancestor Witches, Laozi, and Li Yun deeper into Pangu Hall to perform the Method of Sacrifice.
  • Li Yun saw the vast Pangu Blood Pool and the Witch Clan members gestating within it.
  • The group crossed a desolate region and arrived at a black, incomplete world that surprised Laozi and Li Yun.
  • Dijiang explained that the world was Pangu Hall's greatest secret and could sustain the Witch Clan even though it lacked the conditions needed by cultivators.
  • Laozi compared the Ancestor Witches' inheritance and refuge with the Three Pure Ones' precarious situation, and Dijiang asked whether Laozi would enter the world or wait outside.

Ch. 121Land Abandoned by Heaven, Laozi Withdraws

Li Yun and the Twelve Ancestor Witches entered the incomplete world, where Laozi discovered it was a Land Abandoned by Heaven and hurried back to the outside world. Li Yun continued with the Ancestor Witches, who prepared to summon Pangu's physical body and perform the Method of Sacrifice on him.

  • Dijiang opened a gap in the incomplete world, and Laozi, Li Yun, and the Twelve Ancestor Witches entered.
  • Laozi discovered that the Land Abandoned by Heaven suppressed his power and severed his connection to the primordial spirit entrusted to the Heavenly Dao.
  • Laozi asked Dijiang to open an exit, then gave Li Yun the Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang Pagoda to protect him before leaving.
  • The Twelve Ancestor Witches led Li Yun deeper into the world to a black plain where they had practiced the Twelve Heavenly Gods Great Array.
  • Dijiang told Li Yun to stand still while the Ancestor Witches summoned Pangu's physical body to perform the Method of Sacrifice, and Li Yun agreed to cooperate.

Ch. 122Twelve Heavenly Gods Great Array, True Body of Pangu Method

Li Yun witnessed the Twelve Ancestor Witches form the Twelve Heavenly Gods Great Array and discovered its complete diagram and the True Body of Pangu Method. They began the sacrifice to awaken a Law in his bloodline, and Li Yun entered the realm of the three thousand Laws, choosing which one to comprehend.

  • The Twelve Ancestor Witches activated the Twelve Heavenly Gods Great Array, and Li Yun comprehended its complete diagram.
  • As the array formed Pangu’s body, Li Yun saw a humanoid cultivation diagram and recognized it as the True Body of Pangu Method.
  • The Twelve Ancestor Witches used the Method of Sacrifice to send bloody light into Li Yun and awaken the Law in his bloodline.
  • Li Yun absorbed the Law’s fluctuations for about half an hour, while the Twelve Ancestor Witches dispersed the array and discussed his changing Law aura.
  • Li Yun sensed many Laws in his bloodline, considered options including the Five Elements, Universe, Yin Yang, Nine Palaces, Blood Fiend, and Reincarnation, and hesitated over his choice.

Ch. 123Choosing One out of Three Thousand, the Ancestor Witches' Worries

Li Yun sensed the Law of Strength within his Ancestor Witch Bloodline and searched for it, while the Twelve Ancestor Witches debated what to do if his awakening failed. Dijiang proposed preparing for the Witch Clan’s future by choosing a leader who could become a half-step Saint through Destiny.

  • Li Yun considered several top-tier laws before sensing the Law of Strength emanating from his heart.
  • Li Yun abandoned his search through the other laws and focused on finding the Law of Strength within his bloodline.
  • Zhurong asked Dijiang whether Li Yun had failed, and Dijiang insisted the ritual was not over and suggested consulting Laozi if it failed.
  • Zhujiuyin warned that the Heavenly Dao and Hongjun were plotting against the Witch Clan and urged the Ancestor Witches to plan for its future.
  • Dijiang proposed choosing a Witch Clan leader and using Li Yun’s method to Attain Dao through Destiny to raise that person to the half-step Saint stage.

Ch. 124Xuanming Takes the Throne? The Ancestor Witches' Plan

The Ancestor Witches planned to prepare a backup path to sainthood in case Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao moved against them, and chose Xuanming to become the Witch Clan's leader and pursue Attaining Dao through Destiny. They agreed to seek Laozi's guidance, with Zhujiuyin arguing that the Witch Clan could offer an alliance against Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao.

  • Zhujiuyin agreed with Dijiang that the Witch Clan needed a Destiny Saint as a backup plan, while he and Dijiang would pursue Attaining Dao through Law.
  • Qiangliang recommended Xuanming as the candidate because she wielded both poison and ice Laws, and her inheritance might be incomplete.
  • Zhurong and the other Ancestor Witches supported Xuanming, and she accepted the choice after Dijiang and Zhujiuyin approved it.
  • Dijiang decided that the Witch Clan would announce Xuanming as its leader and transfer the clan's fortune to her after they dealt with Li Yun, but said they needed to consult Laozi about whether Ancestor Witches without primordial spirits could attain Dao through Destiny.
  • Zhujiuyin proposed asking Laozi for help by offering an alliance, arguing that the Three Pure Ones and the Witch Clan shared a common threat in Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao.

Ch. 125Law of Strength, Li Yun's Fortuitous Encounter

The Twelve Ancestor Witches agreed to cooperate with Laozi, then watched Li Yun awaken the Law of Strength inside the Blood Sphere. Fearing that this would give the Three Pure Ones' Lineage an advantage as Pangu's Orthodox Lineage, Jumang proposed using Li Yun's Essence Blood to activate Xuanming's dormant Spirit Embryo.

  • Dijiang and the other Ancestor Witches agreed to cooperate with Laozi, viewing their conflict with the Three Pure Ones as an internal matter within the Pangu Lineage.
  • Li Yun chose the Law of Strength, causing the other Law fragments to flow into it as he began absorbing and comprehending its power.
  • The Blood Sphere radiated an ancient aura, and the Twelve Ancestor Witches recognized that Li Yun had awakened Father God's Law of Strength.
  • Jumang urged Xuanming to retrieve her dormant Spirit Embryo so he could use Li Yun's Essence Blood to activate it and possibly create a Thirteenth Ancestor Witch who could inherit the Law of Strength.
  • Dijiang accompanied Xuanming to retrieve the Spirit Embryo and speak with Laozi, while Zhujiuyin was left to lead the other Ancestor Witches out when Li Yun emerged.
