After the Three Teachings Exchange Conference, Li Yun committed to pursuing the Ultimate Dao Fruit and set out with Yuanshi Tianzun to gather Extreme Five Elements Qi. In the Northern Darkness Region, he refined the Origin of Ultimate Water and accepted Mystic Turtle’s future request in exchange for a promised encounter.
Li Yun traveled with Yuanshi Tianzun and Zhenwu to gather the Extreme Five Elements origins, gaining Extreme Wood, Earth, and Gold while battling the White Tiger Clan and evolving his bloodline into the Ancestor Witch Bloodline. As Li Yun and Yuanshi Tianzun headed toward Kunlun Mountain for Extreme Fire, Zhunti appeared and offered his help in the Western Lands.
Li Yun completed his Five Elements cultivation and persuaded the Ancestor Witches that they could attain Dao through Law and Destiny. During the Method of Sacrifice, he awakened Pangu’s Law of Strength, while the Witch Clan moved toward an alliance with Laozi and considered creating a Thirteenth Ancestor Witch.
Li Yun strengthened his Pangu bloodline, gained the Witch Clan’s inheritances, and prepared for the Nine Calamities while the Three Pure Ones and Ancestor Witches uncovered their shared conflict with the Heavenly Dao. After the tribulation, he began testing his strength against the Great Witches.

Li Yun acquired half of the God-Slaying Spear and helped the Three Pure Ones uncover Luohu’s knowledge of Hongjun’s schemes and the path of Attaining Dao through Law. The arc left Li Yun determined to prevent the Three Pure Ones from being divided as they studied the method and considered how to oppose Hongjun.
Li Yun traded for the Universe Ruler, received guidance to cultivate the laws and powers of heaven, earth, and humanity, and formed new ties with Randeng, Huang Long, and the Witch Clan. After Li Yun perfected a twelve-grade Heavenly Flower and received Nuwa’s Human Race Destiny, he set out with Laozi to find three children shown to him in a vision.
Li Yun brought Human children into his lineage, then completed his Earth Flower with the Kirin Clan’s help and gained Young Emperor as his mount. As Nuwa built the Demon Cult and the Ancestor Witches pursued the Earthly Dao, Xi He acted against Eastern Emperor Taiyi to protect her children.
Li Yun advanced to the Grand Unity Golden Immortal realm as the Three Pure Ones and their disciples organized efforts to restore the Earth Veins and protect the Human Race. When Demon Clan forces bypassed the Safe Zones and attacked, Li Yun joined Xuandu on the battlefield and drove the invading Demonic Beasts into retreat.
Li Yun defended the Human Race by destroying Demon Gods, Jade Talismans, and the Witch Slaughtering Sword, while moving survivors into the Twenty-Four Heavens. After joining Kong Xuan and the Jie Teachings Disciples on another battlefield, he stayed to search for the remaining Jade Talisman holder and went to visit the injured Suiren Shi.
Li Yun uncovered the Demon Clan’s slaughter of the Human Race and warned the Three Pure Ones and Ancestor Witches about the Witch Slaughtering Swords. After the Saints restored Mount Sumeru and confronted Nuwa, the Demon Clan agreed to withdraw, and Laozi sought Nuwa’s help locating Li Yun’s destined Lingbao.
Li Yun traded for Pan Wang’s Heaven and Earth Xuanhuang Ruler, then uncovered the abuse of West Kunlun cultivators and the disciples’ secret inheritance, defecting from both the Chan and Jie Sects. After containing the suspects and alerting the Three Pure Ones, he learned Duobao and Guang Chengzi had joined the Western Teachings and prepared to meet Laozi.
Li Yun helped Xuanming’s rise as Earthly Dao Saint bring the Human Race and Laozi into a new alliance, while Laozi negotiated the Three Pure Ones’ staged separation and their settlement with the Queen Mother of the West. The arc ended with the Three Pure Ones helping Li Yun subdue the Sky-Opening Axe Spirit, who revealed the damage to their primordial spirits.
Li Yun and the Three Pure Ones uncovered how the Heavenly Dao had manipulated their inheritances, while Laozi broke from his brothers and gained Humanity Dao’s support. Li Yun accepted the role of Human Race Great Emperor, and preparations for his enthronement began as the Witch Clan and Humanity Dao moved toward cooperation against the Heavenly Dao.
Xuanming led the Witch Clan to drive the Demon Clan from the Thirty-three Heavens and claim the Chaos Bell, while Li Yun advanced his cultivation and pursued his own path to Dao. In Zixiao Palace, Hongjun rebuilt the Demon Clan under the Heavenly Dao and warned the Saints that Laozi and Xuanming threatened the Primordial World.
As Li Yun prepared for his Human Race enthronement, the Saints’ disciples sought alliances with powerful clans while he helped Huang Long claim a path back into the Dragon Clan. Huang Long gained Ancestor Dragon’s inheritance and a share of the clan’s destiny, while Li Yun set out for the ceremony.
