Background

Nuwa is Fuxi's younger sister and a prominent member of the Demon Clan. During the Witch-Demon War, Fuxi perished after being schemed against; Nuwa used her Saintly means to reincarnate him as a Human Emperor, only for him to become permanently bound to Huoyun Cave by karma. His imprisonment becomes one of her deepest concerns. 14

As Wa Empress, Nuwa was one of the Four Demon Emperors alongside Di Jun, Donghuang Taiyi, and Fuxi. Though she seldom involved herself in Demon Clan affairs, she supported the clan behind the scenes during the Witch-Demon War.
