Whether they proved useful or not, getting them into his hands first was the best choice. It was certainly better than handing them over for nothing to the mysterious Mad Knight.
As for the eager maiden goddess... the importance of the weak divine power domain of "Hurricane" went without saying. It was the key to whether she could advance to weak divine power. "Determined to obtain it" was no exaggeration.
Thus, the eager maiden goddess, the helpless-looking Legendary Knight, and the expressionless caster arrived in Atedilon's divine kingdom.
Divine kingdoms were born from divine domains and existed to serve them. This had little to do with whether their gods were dead or alive.
A divine kingdom whose god had died would automatically check whether it still contained any stored divine domains. If it confirmed that its former god was dead and that ownerless divine domains remained within, the divine kingdom would automatically deactivate all defensive measures and allow any intelligent creature to enter.
Therefore, after killing Atedilon, the path for the three adventurers into their enemy's lair was completely unobstructed. The once-impenetrable white curtain of light had already dimmed and become illusory against the starry sky. Only when the next God of Hurricane was born would this magnificent "prison" display its power once more.
