• Zhao Wuji led the students into the Star Dou Great Forest, where Gu Chen and Gu Yuena defeated Meng Shu and Chao Tianxiang after Gu Chen took the Phoenix-tail Crested Serpent Oscar needed.
• Gu Chen and Gu Yuena secretly obtained new Spirit Rings, and Tang San absorbed a Man Faced Demon Spider Spirit Ring that gave him an External Soul Bone.

Gu Chen led his companions through the Death Training Camp, rescued captives, built a Survivor Base, and defeated a Possessing Demon controlling General Meng. After returning to Spirit City with new strength and authority, he took over a Spirit Hall branch and killed its treacherous Vice Hall Master Mo Qing.

• Ye Wuyou joined Gu Chen’s group, but invaders destroyed the Survivor Base and captured Mo Yun, Hua Bu Luo, and Xue Youyou.
• Gu Chen led a revolt at the captors’ base, freed the prisoners, and saved Ye Wuyou from death after Jin stabbed him.
• Gu Chen’s group spent a month hunting Abyss creatures, then built a Steel Fortress and helped organize the survivors into a functioning base.
• Two Black Empress Clan members killed more than a hundred students, but Gu Chen used his armed drone to kill them and led the survivors out of the Nameless Mountain Range.
• A Possessing Demon took control of General Meng and attacked Gu Chen’s group, but Gu Chen and Gu Yuena drove it out and devoured its spiritual body.
• Gu Chen used Life God Water to heal Meng Yi, then traveled with Gu Yuena to the Star Dou Great Forest, where they broke their fifth seals and gained powerful new Spirit Rings.
