That night, moonlight streamed through the church windows and fell upon the statue, lending even more divinity to its already holy form.
"O Lord Jesus, I wish for Your coming."
"May the grace of the Lord Jesus always be with all the saints. Amen."
Father Pucci once again recited passages from the Bible in the church. After finishing, he set the book down and spoke toward the space behind the statue.
"John, the Bible says you are a servant of God."
A man emerged from behind the statue, walked before Father Pucci, slowly knelt, and kissed the back of his hand.
"I am your servant, Father."
Father Pucci nodded in satisfaction. "Rise. Do you have something to report?"
"Yes. Just as you expected, the one called Elysia found Vill-V and arrested her."
"Following your instructions, I did not intervene to save Vill-V, and I left behind the letter you gave me."
"Very good. You may leave."
"Yes."
John Grey withdrew. Father Pucci put away the Bible and went to the former priest's room, taking out the Flame Chasers badge he had left behind.
She probably won't come today.
But to be safe, I'd better stay here.
With the badge in hand, Father Pucci returned to the room where he usually rested.
"Apponia, Seele, I'll be sleeping in the old priest's room tonight."
"Mm, I understand."
Apponia seemed to know something, but she said nothing more.
"Good night, Father."
"Good night. Go to sleep early."
Afterward, Father Pucci returned to the former priest's room.
"Hey, Pucci, there's someone in the room."
Just as Pucci placed his hand on the doorknob, White Snake suddenly appeared to warn him.
"Who is it?"
Father Pucci lowered his voice and asked White Snake.
"Just one pink-haired woman, but be careful. She's not
