Background

Born beneath a beehive after being abandoned by his mother, Tōryū petrified himself to survive a hornet's sting and latched onto it. He entered the hive and spent seventeen years parasitizing the queen bee, absorbing nutrients and knowledge before emerging to enter human society. Unlike most Stand users, he was born with his Stand, Wonder of U. 297

Tōryū settled temporarily in Vostok-51, where he worked at the local hospital and lived in Priest Joseph's small church. His tireless strength, precision, and rigid efficiency quickly made him a dependable worker despite his taciturn manner. 297 298

While retrieving honey in the forest, he discovered an infant with pointed ears amid a mysterious pink light. He named her Elysia and brought her to the church, beginning a relationship that gradually tempered his solitary, survival-focused outlook. 298

Appearance

Tōryū is a tall Stone Person with cold gray eyes and a body capable of developing dark gray stone armor. His appearance can become partially petrified during injury, dormancy, or forced awakening. 304 309 310
