A sharp glint flashed through his eyes before he spoke.
"Grand White, tell me—what should I ask for next in this matter?"
At those words, Grand White Venus merely smiled lightly.
"Your Majesty, you jest. Naturally, Your Majesty takes precedence in such matters. Whatever Your Majesty wants is what we shall ask for."
Hearing this, the two exchanged glances and smiled together.
Just then, Sun Wukong arrived outside the Heavenly Court.
The moment he arrived, he saw Guanyin entering the Heavenly Court.
Upon seeing Guanyin, Sun Wukong said with a smile,
"Seeing that Bodhisattva is safe puts Old Sun at ease!"
At those words, Guanyin's expression darkened slightly as she said,
"Wukong, where did you go earlier?"
Sun Wukong shrugged.
"Where did I go? Of course I hid away to heal my wounds. Where else could I have gone?
"Bodhisattva, think about it. How terrifying was Xing Tian's axe?
"My injuries still haven't fully recovered, and they're even still faintly aching.
"After I emerged, I found the place from before in complete ruin. There were even many corpses—Arhats, Vajras, and even Bodhisattvas.
"That was why I hurried to the Heavenly Court, intending to borrow the Jade Emperor's Haotian Mirror to see what had happened.
"I never expected to run into Bodhisattva. It's good that Bodhisattva is all right!"
After hearing this, Guanyin's expression became extremely unsightly. At last, she took a deep breath and said,
"Sun Wukong, once this matter is over, I hope you will properly protect Tang Sanzang.
"We do not wish for such a thing to happen again."
Sun Wukong shrugged at that.
"Bodhisattva, this matter had nothing to do with Old Sun.
"You don't understand! Tang Sanzang simply wouldn't listen to me.
