Kaleidoscope did not want a final battle yet. His first instinct was to withdraw.

But when he heard that the newcomers were a swarm of Skyworms led by someone calling herself the Kunlun Empress, he could not help wondering what was going on.

Kunlun? He knew the name well. It was where an early Anunnaki research facility had been located.

He had even gone there himself once, fooled the locals, and established a human-trafficking network.

But he had personally visited dozens of primitive planets, and Kunlun had left little impression on him.

What he remembered most was a fellow named Ji Heng.

Ji Heng had started out as a primitive. Later, he had transformed himself into a Dragon Clan variant and sneaked onto the moon to stow away, only to be discovered by the Dragon Clan.

The Dragon Clan had generously let him join the Dragon Civilization. Dragon Clan genes had such a strong influence on the mind that they had no fear of him betraying them.

With a Dragon Clan body came a Dragon Clan mind.

Not long after joining, Ji Heng had helped Kunlun's primitives overthrow the Anunnaki's early rule.

Ji Heng had also done a great deal to get Kunlun Star registered as a primitive preserve.

After Kaleidoscope took over the Anunnaki, Ji Heng had resurfaced and reported his human trafficking to the Star Alliance.

But that was a minor problem. Ji Heng had no real power, and Kaleidoscope had dealt with him easily. He was now serving time in Crab Nebula Hell.

Kaleidoscope ran through everything he knew about Kunlun and found nothing remarkable.

Their perspectives were worlds apart. Never in a million years would he have guessed that Huang Ji could emerge from Earth.

A name was just a name.
