Background / History

Han Bi was born into a humble branch of the Sha Cha royal family. He worked as a craftsman and shoe seller before joining the military and becoming a boxer. His standing was earned through talent and hard work rather than family influence, eventually bringing him to Emperor-level strength through the Galaxy Battle Tournament. 558

His status remained precarious despite his achievements. After losing rank during the Galaxy Grand Assembly, he was harshly punished and removed from Sha Cha's representative team. Though he argued that Zi Wei's fighters genuinely possessed Emperor-level strength, officials treated his defeat as a political failure. 554

Han Bi entered the imperial election not because he sought the throne, but to gain sufficient authority to clear his name and impeach Cabinet Minister Sa Guala. He offered supporters help with unjust grievances in exchange for votes, rapidly becoming the most supported royal in his city. 593

His investigation into Misha's alleged suicide became the turning point of his political career. Promising Si Pike that he would pursue the case regardless of the culprit's status, Han Bi uncovered falsified evidence, exposed City Lord Hei Cha's crimes, and ultimately traced the conspiracy toward the Thousand Currents Conglomerate and the Emperor himself. 593 614 616 625

Huang Ji and Shadow Long recruited Han Bi into a counter-scheme against the Anunnaki's Heavenfall Project: Huang Ji would replace Han Bi publicly while Han Bi would act as Shadow Long, deceiving both the Anunnaki and the public. Han Bi accepted the burden of becoming Sha Cha's ruler in order to pursue justice. 604 608

Appearance

In his complete form, Han Bi is an imposing eighty-meter-tall Carbon–Silicon–Neon Tristate Hybrid with a heroic, martial bearing. 593 596

  • Soft white skin with purple bones visible throughout his body. 596
  • Dark-blue energy blocks set between his muscles and joints. 596
  • A massive snail shell projects diagonally behind his head. 596
  • Can transform organs between flesh, stone, and energy forms. 596
  • Can survive on thermal energy, endure gamma-ray exposure, and sustain himself by decomposing his own matter—though this eventually risks genetic collapse. 596

Personality

Han Bi is first and foremost a warrior. Even while Sha Cha politically opposed Zi Wei, he respected Huang Ji's strength, openness, and willingness to teach others. 551

He is stubbornly principled and unusually willing to confront powerful interests. He initially ran for office only to restore fairness to his own situation, but his promise to investigate Misha's death showed that he would risk his safety and political prospects for ordinary citizens. 593

His sincerity makes him politically inexperienced at first. He initially trusts official institutions and struggles to accept that the Emperor could protect criminal conspiracies. However, repeated assassination attempts, Huang Ji's guidance, and the scale of the corruption he uncovers force him to become more strategic without abandoning his ideals. 597 598 625

As emperor, he remains closely tied to Zi Wei and is willing to publicly credit Huang Ji's accomplishments even under pressure from other civilizations. 714 735
