Background / History

The Great Thousand World is an ancient native Great World where planes converge, myriad races coexist, and ascendants from lower planes pursue higher cultivation. It is vast enough that even a Saint Heavenly Sovereign requires roughly a month to cross it, while innumerable lower planes float in the surrounding starry sky. 338 479

Its earliest recorded golden age began with the Great Thousand Sovereign, the first Sovereign-realm powerhouse born after the world's creation. He unified the previously fragmented world, established Spiritual Energy cultivation as its mainstream system, and commanded ten Half-Step Sovereign subordinates whose legacies became the Ten Great Primal Dharma Bodies. He later reached the World Realm and Creation Realm before leaving the Great Thousand World. 408

The Great Thousand World later suffered its greatest recorded catastrophe when the Extraterrestrial Evil Clan invaded forty-nine thousand years before the main events. Countless inhabitants and top powerhouses died, while many lower planes under its sphere—including the Dou Qi Continent and Tianxuan Continent—were attacked. The Immortal Great Emperor ultimately suppressed the Heavenly Evil God, but the war created a historical gap and left much of the world's ancient knowledge lost. 237 285 408

By the time Xiao Yan arrives, the Extraterrestrial Evil Clan occupies approximately half of the Great Thousand World. Great Thousand Palace

The Great Thousand Palace served as the central alliance institution coordinating resistance against the Extraterrestrial Evil Clan. It was located at the center of the northern border and maintained branches and Great Thousand Tower garrisons across the frontier. 332

• External members included most Heavenly Sovereigns aligned with the Great Thousand World; they received information and could be summoned against the Extraterrestrial Evil Clan. 316

Extraterrestrial Evil Clan Invasion

The invasion led by the Heavenly Evil God devastated the Great Thousand World and its subordinate planes. Though the Immortal Great Emperor suppressed the Heavenly Evil God, the clan retained control over extensive territory and continued threatening the world for tens of thousands of years. 237 285

The final large-scale war saw the Extraterrestrial Evil Clan mobilize more than seven thousand Devil Emperors and three hundred thousand Devil Generals and Kings. Great Thousand World defenders formed arrays led by Saint Heavenly Sovereigns, taking advantage of the invaders' suppression within the world's territory. 413

Xiao Yan's rise transformed the conflict. He was recognized as the strongest current powerhouse in the Great Thousand World, and the world's Heavenly Sovereigns pooled resources to accelerate his cultivation against the Refining Heaven Devil Emperor. 373 376

Following the clan's defeat, the Great Thousand World counterattacked its remaining forces, purified more than three hundred formerly occupied lower planes, and repurposed the Sacred Devil Continent as a training ground after sealing it. 421 422

Within a century, the Great Thousand World produced multiple Sovereign and Half-Step Sovereign powerhouses. Its strength grew further through exchanges of experts and resources with the Flame God World. 459
