Background / History

Ao Le is the daughter of Ao Zhan, the Min River Dragon Lord, and Ao Yun. During her childhood in the Wu River Dragon Palace, she was separated from her parents and repeatedly bullied by the Wu River Dragon Lord’s sons. The experience left her withdrawn, timid, and deeply attached to the few relatives who treated her kindly—especially her third brother, Ao Lie. 365 375 386

The Min River Dragon Palace abducted Lu Qingfeng after the Fortune-Illuminating Mirror identified his extraordinary destiny and married him to Ao Le. She initially feared her new husband, but his patience and promise to protect her from further mistreatment allowed their relationship to become affectionate and trusting. 365 366

After Lu Qingfeng became Yuan Lake Water Lord, Ao Le accompanied him there with the Min River Navy. She offered to serve as his personal guard while Lan Feihu and Yuan Bi managed the territory’s military and administration.
