The Little Bell Around Her Neck
Hearing Harry's call, Cassandra pulled the blanket down a little, revealing a pair of beautiful eyes.
Admittedly, she is quite cute, at least that's what Harry thinks.
Harry walked to the bedside and sat down next to Cassandra.
"Are you warm now?" He reached out and ruffled Cassandra's hair.
I must say, this feeling is actually quite nice.
Cassandra's soft hair felt wonderful to the touch, like touching the most expensive silk in the world.
"Mmm," Cassandra replied in a nasal tone.
"Then I'll give it a try."
Without saying a word, Harry reached his hand under the covers before Cassandra could react.
As soon as he reached out, Harry felt as if he had touched something he shouldn't have.
but...
I could tell from Cassandra's embarrassed and annoyed gaze.
He awkwardly pulled his hand out and said to Cassandra, "Not bad, at least you're quite qualified as a maid—"
"Hmph." Cassandra gave a soft snort.
She remembered her current identity as a maid, and what Harry had just said was indeed correct.
"What are we having for breakfast tomorrow?" Harry started making conversation. "Oh, I actually miss the Malfoy family's classic breakfast, you know... that special bacon."
"Alright, I will tell Dobby," Cassandra said. "Dobby's mother was the Elf who served me back then—"
As she spoke, she climbed out of bed, the bells on her collar jingling as she moved.
Harry couldn't resist reaching out and fiddling with the bells on the long, pinkish-white swan's neck, noticing the striking black collar around its neck.
It's kind of interesting, he thought.
It's impossible for Harry to sleep with her, at least not now. Even if Harry wanted to, Cassandra wouldn't agree.
As a classic lady, this was already the limit of what she could achieve. She wouldn't have felt this sense of crisis if it weren't for Miss Grindelwald lurking in the shadows.
It has to be admitted that there needs to be a sense of pressure to make progress.
That night, when Cassandra returned home, she buried her head in the blankets, and the heat was almost emanating from the back of her head.
I was shy, but I was also secretly pleased.
It seems...
This shows that I'm quite charming, she thought, at least no less so than that guy Grindelwald.
Early the next morning, Cassandra had Dobby prepare the standard Malfoy family breakfast for Harry.
Of course, she didn't go to the restaurant to dine with the Lucius couple. Instead, dressed as Maid Outfit, she went to Harry's room alone.
"Time to get up!"
As Cassandra said this, she reached out and pulled Harry's blanket off.
Then, her gaze inevitably fell on a certain spot.
Well... Harry is already fourteen years old, fifteen in the traditional Chinese way of counting age. If he started school early, he would be a high school student in Ceres.
As everyone knows, a high school student's... is the hardest thing in the world.
Cassandra's face immediately flushed red.
She quickly put the blanket down, turned around, and slipped out of Harry's room without looking back.
When Cassandra returned to her own room, she was still a little shaken, patting her chest repeatedly to calm herself down.
However, Harry, the culprit, is still a little confused. Why did he suddenly feel the blanket being lifted up and then suddenly put down?
When he opened his eyes, Cassandra was already gone, and only Dobby was standing not far away, holding his breakfast in his hand.
"You're awake, great Mr. Harry Potter." Dobby blinked his big eyes. "This is breakfast Miss Cassandra prepared for you at your request."
After saying that, Dobby placed the breakfast on the table and slowly disappeared into the room.
Harry raised an eyebrow, shrugged, and casually picked up his Prongs to fiddle with the food on his plate.
Around nine o'clock in the morning, Lucius someone to inform us that they were ready to leave for the Weasley family to pick up Draco.
Harry didn't refuse, but Cassandra seemed to be talking to her father's portrait.
After waiting for a while, Cassandra finally arrived.
They traveled by carriage all the way to the Weasley family.
No matter how many times Harry came here, he was always quite shocked by the house...
Twisted and crooked, if the Burrow Leaning Tower of Pisa is a dangerous building, then the Weasley family is something that should have collapsed.
They built those houses; the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau would be moved to tears if they saw them.
If it weren't for magic, this building would probably have collapsed long ago.
When they arrived at the Burrow, the Weasley family seemed to be preparing lunch.
Harry could see Draco following behind Ron and the Weasley twins, happily kicking Goblin in the field. He didn't look like a pure-blood wizard at all; instead, he looked like a little mud monkey that had rolled out of some muddy field.
After observing the trending topics... and seeing what appeared to be his own child for a while, Lucius finally spoke uncertainly, asking Narcissa, "Is this our Draco?"
"I guess..." Narcissa hesitated, "I guess so?"
Indeed, no matter how he changes, Draco's signature light blond hair can never be hidden.
"You can tell he's genuinely happy right now," Sirius commented, shaking his head. "I suggest you two not worry too much about keeping Draco in a certain image. Kids should act like kids. When I was his age..."
"When you were his age, you used Permanent Sticking Charm to cover your bedroom walls with posters of Muggle girls."
Narcissa exposed Sirius's true colors without hesitation.
"Ahem." Sirius tried to explain, "That's just human nature, human nature..."
"I don't think so," Narcissa scoffed. "Your aunt was furious about it and gave you a good scolding, didn't she?"
Sirius hung his head, speechless.
After all, putting up posters of sexy Muggle girls in the bedroom is not exactly something to be proud of, even if he can use youthful exuberance as an excuse.
Exactly! If you're not young, are you even a young person?
Just then, Molly, who was standing at the door with her hands on her hips, noticed the person who had come in.
She strode forward and greeted everyone without any shyness.
Even with the Malfoy family, with whom she had always been at odds, she managed to maintain a semblance of politeness.
We can't just start a fight the moment we meet, can we? That's something only children would do.
After greeting them, Molly turned her gaze to Harry.
"Oh, dear Harry." Molly reached out and ruffled Harry's messy hair. "The last time I saw you was last summer. Ron was so lucky to have you around Christmas... Come on, Harry, Ron and the others have been talking about you ever since they got back yesterday."
After saying that, Molly looked at Sirius again.
Although she had just exchanged pleasantries with Sirius, it didn't stop her from warning Sirius.
"Sirius, I hope you don't lead the children astray—they're too young to be like you, chasing after Muggle girls all day!"
These words really broke Sirius's defenses.
Wait, how come the whole world knows that I posted the Muggle Girl poster?
Ignoring Sirius's distress, Molly said to Harry again, "Come on, Harry, they all miss you terribly."
They walked into the Burrow before Draco and the others outside noticed that someone had arrived.
"Harry's here," Ron said briefly. "Let's hurry, let's go find him..."
With that, Ron swung his arm and flung the Goblin he was holding away.
It flew far away.
"Well done." George and Fred each put their hands on one of Ron's shoulders. "You'll get a Giant Spider for lunch."
Ron instinctively shivered.
He decided to tell his mother when he got back, determined not to let his two older brothers' scheme succeed.
Upon entering the Burrow, Draco immediately saw his parents.
Because they had just circled around to the other side of the Burrow, they hadn't noticed who the visitors were. When Draco saw his parents, he felt no joy, but rather great fear.
The level of shock was like that of a child who had been secretly watching TV all day suddenly discovering their parents walking in from outside.
"Dad, Mom." Draco, like a startled ostrich, slowly shuffled toward his parents.
"Go wash your hands," Narcissa said gently.
Draco, as if granted a pardon, slipped away like the wind.
Seeing Draco's expression, Ron lowered his head and chuckled to himself.
It seems there really is a natural counter to everything; I never expected Draco to be so afraid of his parents.
However, he did not doubt that Draco lacked parental love, after all, a child who lacks love would not call everyone "my dad".
"They really went wild last night." Molly shook her head helplessly. "Arthur was the same. In fact, Arthur is the oldest of them all. If it weren't for him leading the mischief, they wouldn't have stayed at Granger's house for so long."
"The Granger's house?" Lucius said with interest. "I remember that surname—I even had a drink with Mr. Granger during the summer break when School Opening second grade."
"You know Mr. Granger?" Molly was somewhat incredulous. In her memory, Lucius was still that wizard who clung to the idea of Pure-blood.
She never expected that the agile Lucius would suddenly switch sides and completely sever ties with the Death Eater.
"Of course, he's a very interesting Muggle," Lucius chuckled. "I've been looking forward to seeing him again."
"That's wonderful!" Ron exclaimed suddenly. "My dad invited the Granger family to the World Cup yesterday—I mean, the Quidditch World Cup. It took him all night to explain the difference between the Quidditch World Cup and the Football World Cup."
"Yes," Fred and George chimed in, "Mr. Granger is a Manchester United fan—ah, what's the song again? Glory glory Man. United!"
The Twins must have some musical talent, because they actually sang Manchester United's team song quite well.
"Oh." Lucius smiled and said to the two of them, "I remember this team— Mr. Granger told me that his favorite player was a guy named Ryan Giggs."
Of course, Mr. Granger is a true football fan and won't make the joke about "Giggs and Rooney flying on the wings" that the Barça (star) football expert mentioned.
On one hand, Mr. Granger genuinely watched football; on the other hand, Rooney was probably still playing in the mud somewhere at that time...
"I really wish Mr. Granger could have been involved," Lucius said again. "We got along quite well back then, it's just a pity we never met."
This wasn't just polite talk; after all, Lucius had witnessed firsthand Mr. Granger's terrifying ability to speculate and profiteer.
Although Mr. Granger didn't know where the money came from, he always managed to earn it somehow.
Narcissa glanced at Lucius but didn't say anything.
Although she was Black, she was now married into the Malfoy family. As the saying goes, "a woman follows her husband wherever he goes," and since she was married to the agile Malfoy, she naturally had to be agile as well.
In a marriage, one of the partners has to adapt to the other; otherwise, the relationship cannot be sustained.
Since the husband thinks that Muggle is good, he must have some merits.
Otherwise, the arrogant Lucius wouldn't have given such a Muggle any special consideration.
"I hope so," Harry said from the side. "But given Mr. Granger's love of excitement, he probably won't miss this grand event."
Lucius nodded, then asked, "By the way, where's Arthur?"
"Arthur took Percy to the Ministry of Magic," Molly replied. "You know, my third son Percy graduated this year and was just accepted into the Ministry of Magic. He's supposed to work in Old Barty Crouch's department."
"Oh, Old Barty."
When Old Barty was mentioned, Lucius revealed a barely perceptible hint of disdain.
However, he concealed it very well, and no one present noticed the subtle change in his expression.
"If I remember correctly, he's the Head of Department of the Department of International Magical Cooperation," Lucius added. "If Percy's going to work in his department, he won't be idle all summer—you know, the Department of International Magical Cooperation is also in charge of matters related to the Quidditch World Cup."
"Won't you be very busy?" Molly asked with concern.
"It's bound to be busy," Lucius smiled and continued, "However, Old Barty isn't a suitable boss for a recent graduate. If possible, I suggest you let your child choose another department."
This was actually said in a rather tactful way, but Molly took it to heart.
She had actually heard the rumors about Old Barty long ago, but what could she do? She couldn't interfere with the Ministry of Magic's personnel arrangements.
"But I think," Sirius suddenly said, "It's not necessarily a bad thing for Percy to be under Old Barty's command; at least it can hone his skills."
