Britain Must-Eat List
At this moment, Ron was unaware that he had been targeted by his two unscrupulous brothers; he was currently filled with the joy of having taken Felix Felicis.
Can't beat this goalkeeper? No way! I've taken Felix Felicis, how could I not beat a little goalkeeper?
The Quidditch team members gathered together, awaiting the selection process.
There are no vacancies in other positions for the time being; this selection is mainly aimed at the goalkeeper position.
I hope you're not sad.
Just as Ron was getting ready to try, McLagan suddenly stood behind him.
"What's wrong?" Ron asked, turning around in confusion. But when he saw McLagan's tall and strong physique, he involuntarily took a step back.
With such a big guy standing behind him, especially in Britain, Ron admitted he chickened out.
It's not because of its imposing presence, but because of certain Britain characteristics—
"You're about to lose this position," McLagan said confidently. "I'm also competing for the goalkeeper spot, and you... you simply can't compete with me, can you?"
"Are you out of your mind?" Ron scratched his face, looking puzzled. "Come on, with your size, you're not Chaser but competing with me for goalie? Do you expect to stop the Bludger with your body?"
"Physical strength is an essential element for a goalkeeper," McLagan confidently.
"No, I think goalkeepers should be agile," Ron denied.
Before Ron could continue, McLagan suddenly noticed Hermione standing to the side.
"Oh, by the way, is that your friend?" he asked, pointing to Hermione. "Could you introduce her to me? I'm quite interested in her—I know you two get along well, so could we meet her too? You know what I mean?"
After saying that, he reached out and patted Ron's drum, then walked away with a smug smile.
Ron immediately gave a constipated look.
no?
you?
It's one thing for you to steal my spot, and I can understand if you want to be the goalkeeper, but now you're trying to steal my friend too?
Very well, you've found a way to die!
However, Hermione didn't see it that way at all.
From her perspective, she couldn't hear any conversation; all she could see was McLagan pat Ron's butt and leave with a wicked grin.
Hermione, sitting in the stands, lowered her binoculars with trembling hands.
"What's wrong, Hermione?" Luna leaned closer and asked with concern. "I think you saw something incredible..."
"No, I suspect I'm seeing things," Hermione said, sounding somewhat doubtful.
She had considered a million possibilities, even the idea of a Gryffindor girl seducing Ron, but she never imagined that a man would...
Oh shit...
Oh my god...
What a great Britain Must-Eat List!
Luna glanced at Hermione, racking her brains for a long time but still couldn't figure out what Hermione was thinking about.
She shook the lion doll and sat quietly and obediently next to Hermione.
Just then, Angelina walked in with Fred and George.
"Alright, enough chit-chat," Angelina said swiftly. "The selections begin now—I see, the only contenders for Quidditch goalkeeper are McLagan and Weasley —oh, Ronald Weasley, right?"
"Yes, Lady," McLagan said with a smile, glancing up at Hermione's location and tossing his wire-like hair.
However, Hermione saw this action as a blatant provocation.
If you have to say something, you might as well stick your fist out.
How could there be such an annoying person in the world! Hermione thought viciously.
The selection process officially began, with Cormac McLagan and Ron playing as the two goalkeepers on opposite sides of the team. The team would see who conceded the fewest goals, and the best would be selected.
The players are still the same few, but their attacking style is more casual; they can go for goals from Cormac McLagan or Ron.
Harry, as the Seeker, did not participate in the game; instead, he sat in the stands next to Hermione.
"Hermione?" He turned his head, noticing Hermione's gritted teeth, and asked curiously, "What's wrong? Did Ron make you angry again?"
"No!" Hermione's eyes practically spit fire. "You did the right thing, Harry! Ron should have been given some Felix Felicis so he could teach that arrogant Mike... Mike what was it again?"
"McLagan, his name is Cormac." Harry was a little confused. "What's wrong? Did that guy offend you?"
"That guy..." Hermione's chest heaved violently. "That guy actually touched Ron's butt, and even gave me that smug look! Good heavens, how dare he! How dare he!"
"Huh?" Harry didn't understand, but he was greatly shocked.
No? What happened?
Has Ron's charm reached the point of seducing men?
No, pigeons?
He rubbed his ears to make sure he hadn't misheard. "No, what did you just say? That McLagan was touching Ron's ass?"
"I saw it with my own eyes!" Hermione exclaimed angrily. "He even taunted me! This guy is absolutely unreasonable!"
Harry was a little confused. He frowned and said, "Then why is McLagan competing with Ron for the goalkeeper position? I don't quite understand..."
"That's easy to understand!" Anne suddenly said from the side, "It's probably because this McLagan has fallen for Ron and wants to win Ron's heart this way..."
Harry's face turned pale.
No, that's fucking disgusting.
The mere thought of such distorted things made Harry want to throw a few Avada to vent his emotions.
Is this something a normal person should have?
"Okay, Anne," he said, his face pale, "Stop talking, stop talking... I feel nauseous..."
Anne shrugged, said nothing more, and lowered her head to watch the game.
"Thank goodness you gave him Felix Felicis, otherwise..."
After watching McLagan make three consecutive fancy saves to deny a sure goal, Hermione said with lingering fear, "Otherwise, Ron would have been in danger. We really let McLagan get away with it."
"Hmm?" Harry turned around, took the intact bottle out of his pocket, and showed it to Hermione.
"You..." Hermione looked at Harry in astonishment.
"He just thought he drank Felix Felicis," Harry said with a smile. "Ron is actually quite strong, of course... he's just a little insecure, and this Sickle really help him build confidence, even if he doesn't drink it."
"But..."
Hermione looked anxiously at the arena, and she suddenly began to doubt whether Ron could defeat McLagan without the help of Felix Felicis.
Of course, her worries didn't last long, because George had already chuckled and Bludger towards Fred. Fred's expression was ferocious and arrogant, with a hint of desperate effort as he swung his club with great force, delivering a heavy blow to Ron.
Ron had noticed his two older brothers' movements long ago, and he quickly hid behind a broom to avoid the Bludger.
"Fred! George!" he roared angrily, "Are you trying to murder me?!"
"My dear Ronnie little darling, this is part of the competition. If you don't like it, don't participate!" the Twins said with a grin.
"Then you shouldn't only hit me!" Ron protested. "That's not fair! Captain Jensen, I'm reporting them both!"
Angelina flew over at that moment, looking at the two clowns with a serious expression.
"You two are not allowed to bully Ron like this!" she warned. "This is a selection competition. You should treat every contestant equally, understand?"
Look at what they're saying! Anyone who didn't know better would think they were taking care of Ron —of course, Angelina knew that they were prepared to use every trick in the book and all their skills on Ron ...
But it's really unfair because this is a selection process, not a competition.
"Alright, Fred," George reassured him, "Don't worry, at least we can take on two people at once, right?"
After saying that, the Bludger flew back with a soft "ee-ee-yah" sound.
"Here you go!" George swung his bat, Bludger towards McLagan.
As a result, McLagan dodged the Bludger's attack with a very flashy move.
"It seems he's quite capable," Harry nodded in affirmation.
Just then, Ron also received an attack from the captain, who led two Chaser.
However, it's hard to say whether Ron was lucky or unlucky. He could indeed save the ball, but his saving posture... wasn't very graceful.
After making three consecutive saves, Angelina led the Chaser to McLagan's side.
Hermione quickly reached out and put her hand to her lips.
McLagan, who was tightly marking the ball, suddenly seemed confused. By the time he came to his senses, the ball had already gone into the round basket.
Immediately afterwards, a whooshing sound rang out.
With a loud bang, the Bludger hit McLagan.
The guy rolled his eyes and fell headfirst down.
Fortunately, the Twins sensed the danger and quickly stepped in to save the day, preventing McLagan from falling to the ground.
"What's going on!" Angelina flew over, slamming down the broom and asking irritably, "Why didn't you two control your strength?"
"We used Slytherin's power," George said with a shrug. "Besides, we didn't expect him to be able to dodge such a straight and obvious Bludger."
Angelina sighed.
"Fine," she said. "Since Cormac McLagan lost the ball and was hit by Bludger, it means he's not as good as Ronald Weasley at the goalkeeper position... I hereby declare Ronald Weasley the goalkeeper for the Gryffindor Quidditch team!"
From the stands, Harry glanced back at Hermione.
"What's wrong?" Hermione asked, pretending nothing was wrong.
"Nice Silencing Charm," Harry said with a smile. "Confundus Charm, isn't it?"
"I don't know what you're talking about." Hermione looked up at the sky, as if she hadn't just cast a spell on someone.
Luna stood to the side, smiling, her face showing a deep sense of accomplishment.
At this moment, Ron also ran up, his face beaming with joy.
"Harry! Harry!" he exclaimed, jumping up and down. "I'm a full-fledged goalkeeper now! I've been promoted!"
"Congratulations, Ron," Harry said sincerely.
"Hey, Weasley!" Draco taunted from a distance. "You're definitely a good goalkeeper. I think every part of your body could guard the goal—especially your head. That one shot that blocked the Bludger was really cool."
"Shut up, Malfoy!" Ron retorted.
"That McLagan..." Harry asked tentatively, gesturing with his hands, "What's going on between you two?"
"What? What's going on?" Ron asked, somewhat bewildered.
"Oh," Luna chimed in from the side, "Hermione just said that McLagan touched your butt, is that true?"
Ron was stunned.
Then, his face turned bright red, and even his freckles turned red.
"No, what are you talking about!" Ron roared, clenching his fists. "He's taunting me! He wants me to give up my Quidditch goalkeeper position, and he even said he wants me to introduce Hermione to him! That bastard..."
Hearing this, Hermione breathed a sigh of relief.
"Really?" Harry asked.
"Of course it's true!" Ron said, still a little angry. "How could I possibly introduce Hermione to him? That bastard clearly has no good intentions—and Hermione, you absolutely must stay away from this guy!"
"Yes," Hermione nodded. She would have done it even if Ron hadn't said so.
This McLagan is really annoying.
"Um," Anne suddenly asked, "that that McLagan... is he really not what Hermione thinks?"
"How could this be!" Ron roared as if his tail had been stepped on. "This is absolutely impossible! It's exactly as I just said!"
Harry reached out and subtly squeezed Anne's hand, signaling her to stop talking.
What if we keep asking and find out something?
"Ron."
Seamus, Neville, and Dean walked over, their faces beaming with joy.
"Congratulations on becoming the Quidditch goalie!" the three said in unison. "That's right! You didn't let us down! Give that that McLagan's ass a good kick!"
Ron's face suddenly turned purple.
"Alright, we should go celebrate," Harry interrupted them. "Who's going to the Kitchen to get the House Elf to make something? How about we go to the Gryffindor Common Room to celebrate Ron becoming the goalkeeper?"
"I'll go!" Dean said, raising his hand.
"Remember to order a few more Butterbeer," Harry added. "I'm kind of craving Butterbeer..."
"Don't worry, Harry, it'll be fine." Dean ran off quickly.
"Do you want to come along?" Harry turned to Anne and Luna and asked. "Ron and Hermione are Gryffindor Prefect, so you'll have no problem getting in and out of the Gryffindor Common Room."
"I'm going," Anne said firmly.
"Okay," Luna replied in an ethereal voice.
