Draco sat there anxiously, wondering how his ancestor would draw upon his power.

"Crabbe, I feel so hungry," Goyle said, rubbing his stomach.

"Me too, Goyle," Crabbe said, rubbing his stomach. "But I clearly remember eating a lot just now..."

Draco looked at the two of them with disdain, when suddenly a brilliant idea flashed into his mind.

Hungry?

Could it be that our ancestors have already absorbed the power?

"Alright, you two," Draco said to them. "Give me the Notebook, and you can go eat."

"Okay, boss." The two handed the Notebook to Draco together, then hurried towards the door.

I'm starving, I have to eat something properly.

"Hey, get out of my way!"

Crabbe nudged Goyle, who was blocking the doorway. The two were both of similarly stocky build, making it impossible for them to go out together.

"Who's blocking your way?" Crabbe stepped back from the doorway. "You go first!"

Once the two had closed the door and their footsteps were fading into the distance, Draco eagerly grabbed his Notebook, placed it on the table, and wrote, "Ancestor, how about that, is it enough?"

A golden light flashed across the Notebook, revealing a line of elegant, gold-embossed text.

"Alright, my child, please move aside."

Draco obediently stepped aside, his eyes fixed intently on the Notebook.

A short while later, the light on the Notebook flashed again, so bright that he couldn't open his eyes.

When he opened his eyes again, a woman with long, black, flowing hair and a gentle, transparent appearance appeared in his field of vision.

The girl had a pair of light red eyes, like the most precious rubies in the world.

"An... ancestor?" Draco looked at the stunningly beautiful girl in front of him, and for some reason, his heart was pounding like a rabbit's.

(Tom in women's clothing)

The beautiful girl reached out and gently wiped her throat with her thumb, then looked down at Draco, who was staring blankly with a vacant expression. Her light red eyes curved into a captivating smile that could charm anyone.

"She looks so beautiful when she smiles," Draco thought, then quickly shook his head, trying to banish the thought from his mind.

No, Draco, this is your ancestor! How could you have such blasphemous thoughts!

Hmm? Ancestor?

He suddenly became puzzled, looked up to confirm, and asked, "Ancestor, why is your hair black?"

"Hmm..." The beautiful girl reached out and smoothed her long hair, saying to Draco, "Because of the reason for making this Notebook... I used a little bit of Dark Arts, child."

"I see..." Draco suddenly realized.

The girl continued, "However... I think I should use a new name. After all, Dumbledore should be familiar with the name Cassandra Malfoy. You know, he enrolled at Hogwarts when I was in seventh grade... You can call me Merope."

Merope?

Draco thought to himself, "What a beautiful name."

"Merope" beckoned with her finger, and the gold-embossed "CC Malfoy" in the diary became "Draco Malfoy".

"This is our secret, and this Notebook is yours from now on." Merope held up a finger and said to Draco, "However... you just helped me, so it's time to give you a reward."

"What reward?" Draco asked expectantly.

Merope walked up to Draco and placed his hand on his forehead.

It's so cold...

Then, Draco felt a strange energy flow from his forehead into his body, spreading throughout his limbs and bones.

His recently low spirits have been lifted considerably, and he now feels strong enough to kill an ox.

"Pick up your wand." Merope raised her head slightly.

Draco obediently picked up his wand and looked up at Merope.

"Like this, imagine knocking the other person unconscious, a slash, a horizontal stroke... Stupefy!" Merope demonstrated to Draco.

Draco imagined the action Merope had just made, flicking his wand, then holding it horizontally...

"Stunning Spell!" Draco pointed his wand at the chair in front of him.

A beam of light shot out from his wand, and the chair was unfortunately struck by the Charms, its parts scattering all over the ground.

Draco stared in shock at the broken chair in front of him, then incredulously raised his hand holding the wand, gazing at it intently.

This... this is Charms I cast?

"Good boys get rewarded, Draco," Merope smiled faintly. "I borrowed some of the power from your two henchmen and transferred some to you as compensation. As you can see, your progress is obvious."

"Merope..."

Draco's eyes welled up with tears.

After witnessing the duel between Potter and Miss Farley, he was filled with despair and dared not even dream of defeating Potter one day.

This despair, like being gnawed at by Inferi, made him so sad that he couldn't control himself.

But now, Merope has rekindled his hopes.

If we continue like this, will it be okay...?

"My child."

Merope stepped forward at the opportune moment, whispered in his ear, and coaxed him gently.

"Perhaps... you could try introducing me to your trusted Slytherin classmates."

"What?" Draco looked up.

"I can answer their questions and even guide them in learning Charms," Merope continued to tempt Draco, like the serpent tempting Eve to fall in the Garden of Eden. "And all they have to give is a small portion of their power to sustain my daily needs... Of course, as my good child and the introducer who has worked so hard for me, I can reward you with a portion of that power."

"Merope, this..." Draco stammered.

"What, you don't want to?" Merope wasn't angry; instead, she smiled subtly.

But that smile didn't reach those red eyes.

"No... no, you need that power more than I do." Draco hurriedly waved his hands, afraid that the beautiful girl in front of him would misunderstand him. "Compared to those things, I hope you..."

"Listen to me, Draco." Merope's expression grew even more satisfied. "How can you let my most cherished child lose to someone else? Only by mastering great power can you better control your subordinates... and the classmates you brought along will be your most loyal subordinates in the future."

Draco said with tears of gratitude, "Thank you, Merope, you're so kind, you're such a good person."

"Go, my child," Merope said softly, leaning against the table. "Once you find two more people so I can replenish my strength, we can go to the Chamber of Secrets— "

"I'm going right now!" Draco turned and ran impatiently.

As Merope watched Draco leave the dormitory, a hint of triumph flashed in his eyes.

What she didn't tell Draco was that the power she gave him wasn't a permanent enhancement.
