Background

Ye Changqiu first comes to prominence after uncovering Murong Fu’s planned collusion with foreign forces. At Swallow Villa, he kills Murong Fu with a sword thrust through the throat and eliminates the villa’s conspirators. Yan Nantian arrives after the fighting, recognizes the distinctive sword wounds, and later shares information about the wider conspiracy surrounding the Murong family. 153 155 173
